Preparing for the Month of Celebration, Part 2It's almost time for holiday cheer, shopping, cards, parties, and sweets. Holiday food is something that can't be overlooked. It is in a class on its own. When it comes to food, Christmas is one of the holidays that can't be beat. From the month-watering turkey and vegetables to the scrumptious sweets and drinks, the food choices are almost infinite.
Avatars We Want I headed over to the very place you show off your fanciest fonts and most amazing avies: The Avatar Chat. I asked the players there what kinds of avatars they would like to see in the (hopefully not too distant) future. I`ve split the suggestions into different categories corresponding to which area of the site they`re related to.
Bucket List: 20 Things You Must Do in Neopia At the end of the year I decided to look through my journal and pick out my favourite memories, and to compose a list to pass along to whatever new species comes after me. Nobody knows when the next species will come, but when it does, I hope to be able to arm them with a good guide to getting to know the best parts of Neopia.

Why Jumpstart Needs to Go MobileHi everyone! I’m a web designer thanks to Neopets. I started making user lookups way back in 2004 using Jenny’s Darkest Faerie Lair tutorials (anyone else remember Jenny way back in the early 2000’s?) and couldn’t stop. I kept creating guild layouts for people on the guild boards like crazy using paint. PAINT! People loved it. Then I got into Photoshop Elements, and after took graphic design classes. All around everything on the web started because of good ‘ol Neo.

Evil or Not?
When you think about Dr. Frank Sloth the first thing that pops up in your head is some wicked olive green dude obsessed with neopian world domination, giving out mysterious transmogrification potions that turn pets into horrifying creatures. There's no possible way that this guy could be anything but bad. Or is there? Before you start flooding me with hate neomails and throwing me onto Florg's dinner plate (again), really try to think about it. Is Dr. Sloth really a bad guy? Were his actions really villainous?
In this article I will prove that the negative stuff you heard about Dr. Sloth are actually positive. Also, I promise that I'm not being payed or threatened by Dr. Sloth to write this article because he's way too embarrassed about what he did, so he needs some way to make his deeds look acceptable so Neopets can stop sending him the extra monthly bills for the damage caused by the last Return of Sloth plot.
Tis The Season
Heather was a frustrated writer. She was shot down twelve times by the Neopian Times, each with saying they had to many good stories this week, or her story wasn't quite what they were looking for. She smiled bitterly down at three pages with messy scrawl. Why couldn't they just tell her the truth? She was an awful writer.
Recruitment Day
My father always had high hopes for me. From the day I was born, from the day he gave me my name, I was entrusted with tremendous expectations. And Father always tells me, “I’m just trying to give you all of the things my parents could never give to me.” He was Zachary Wentworth, the smiling face on the logo of Wentworth Plushies Inc. And so, I've never felt like my identity was mine to choose.
Neoquest II: The Forgotten Heroine: Part Two
Terror Mountain had always been a pretty short stage, but it was even shorter in this game. Doctor wasn’t that bad, and Eirika was still getting those sick pauses. Arthur had spent most of his points on getting Doctor group healing and shielding, and hadn’t spent any on the anti-sickness thing.
Meegla and Fargon's Not-So-Intergalactic Adventures: Part Nine
Almost all of Meegla’s acts in her fight against Kanrik seemed to be focussed on getting away from him. She kept backing up from his advances, until he had forced her all the way up the dungeon’s steps. Fargon realized with growing horror that, backed up against the door, Meegla’s only escape would be to go tumbling off the side of the staircase, which would leave her too injured to fight back.
