This guide is simple, plain and easy to understand. Especially made for beginners (and n00bs, dare I say it). No fancy graphics or fancy html (just good old paint). It may look a bit cluttered, but its more about information then how it looks :)
F.A.Q and the basics.
What is RSing?
That sounds a bit complicated for me. Is it hard?
What shops should I RS in?
What is RS banned and How do I know if I'm RS banned?
How exactly do I RS?
Rsing is Restocking. It involves buying an item from a neopets shop for a low price (lower then shop wiz) and selling it at a higher price for profit.
With a bit of practice, a lot of skill and a decent (you don't need an amazing one) connection it can be very easy.
Any of them apart from tiki tack. For beginners, I'd recommend the pharmacy, food, book, spooky foods and bakery.
RS banned means being banned from buying items at neopet stores. This happens because you've been refreshing too much. It can last from an hour to 2 days. To check if you're banned or not, Go here and if there is no items, then you're RS banned.
Go on to the next section. A step-by-step guide to RSing.
How to RS, step-by-step.
Step 1
Pick a shop.
Step 2
Learn the seconds it usually RSes at (RS times are down the page). This basically means that the shop will RS roughly between the seconds of any random minute. Refresh near that time each minute. It will usually be obvious if its restocking. Don't panic if it doesn't RS, the shops restock completely randomly.
Step 3
When it does RS, new items will flood in. Click on one that will give you a lot of profit. You may need to do a bit of reaserch first. This could be checking the shop wiz for the prices of certain items for a few restocks to get to know whats profitable and what's not. Also, trial and error, just buy what looks good and find out if its profitable later (can be risky), if it isnt then at least you've learnt not to buy it again. Anyway, a box will pop up. Click 'OK'.
[Note: this example is NOT a profitable item, but in the interest of taking screenies it is being used. This means it is being bought so I can take screenshots rather then to RS. You would always buy an item lower then you're going to sell it at]
Step 4
Quickly type in, usuing the number pad on the right of your keyboard, a number very similar to the asking price. Either use repetitive numbers (222) or alternate numbers (212). We do this as it is much faster then doing any randome number (like 2168, or 287). Use whichever works best for you (practice both and see which one you find fastest).

Step 5
Now click on the neopet. Don't read any of the writing about it. Just click as quickly as possible.
Step 6
If you've successfully bought the item, you'll get a screen like this:
If you've been too slow and miss it, you'll get one like this:
Now once you've bought some items, put them in your shop. Now it comes to pricing time.
Pricing
Copy and paste the name of your item into the shop wiz. Refresh a few times, now price your item about 1-50np below the lowest on the wiz. Now WAIT. Check your shop the next day and if it hasn't sold then price it a bit lower. You'll lose NP if you price too low. You must learn the art of self control!
The rewards of RSing can be great! Practice everyday and more importantly BE PAITENT and you'll soon be on your way to making 100k a day.
Shop Times (thanks to R3st0ck_Tim3s petpage)
The number at the end indicates the seconds it RSes on.

Questions
hello i know im probably just wasting your time but on your restocking guide i found it VERY useful...however on the times they rs if the right numbers mean seconds what do the left numbers mean.....because i havent found alot of thing RSing at the time the right numbers say....
i know but i didn't understand these seconds in the end
Excuse me, but I have one question regarding your petpage of restocking. Well when you show the time (0-5) a shop restocks is the seconds after a new minute (like 9:33:00), or does it mean the minutes after the items have sold out (like it takes 5 minutes to restock after the shop is empty). Please help me out, I'm very confused.
I have received so many neomails on the RSing times that I have stopp replying. It's not that hard to figure out, the number on the right indicated the seconds the shop will RS on (roughly). So if it is 0-5 then the shop will RS between the first 5 seconds of a minute. The minutes shops RS on are random. The numbers on the left (eg. Shop 60) indicate the shop number (found in the URL).
so, if you were me and you wanted to start restocking as a business. which shops would you try to hit as often as possible? (what are your faves) and which items are good to buy from those shops? (sorry to bug you, but i am having some serious trouble)
Try out different shops, or pick one at random and start there. You have to learn the items that are profitable yourself, it takes time and practice. My personal favourite is the book shop, but I've been RSing there for years and it just feels like home.
I read your guide, and if you page 212 nps and sell for 190, how do you even make a profit?
The example given was not a profitable item. You must always buy for less then you are going to say (aka profitable items)... with research and trail&error you will learn what is profitable and what is not.
thank you so much for the RS tips! It is a great help! -poker_face_girl
