Meep?

Hi there! I'm Keeranu, but most people just call me Kee. My owner, who goes by the name of Ozzybantam ('Ozz'... straaange name, if you ask me), made my name from the wordKeeran. I think she said that was a Celtic word or something... it means little dark one. And she just smacked the letter 'u' right after it... how ... artistic. I might be dark, but I'm NOT little! I'm actually one of the biggest draiks around, and... what are you looking at, guest? o.0' NOOOOO! Not my baby photo! What's that doing here?! Stop looking, please!
Sigh. I'll get Ozz for that. Now I'll have to start all the way at the beginning, and I was hoping to tell this fast and get it over with. It's such a nice day, Lake Drake must be really busy by now. Mrp.
Anyway... let's go back. I'll tell you what Ozz, my owner, told me.
(hold on to your socks, she can not stop once she begins to spin a tale)

It is not a wellknown fact the Draiks are actually one of the oldest species in Neopia, a race with one of the richest histories to date. It is said that, ages ago, many Draiks roamed the planet. They formed thight communities, also known as Draik Clans, consisting of mostly family members. These Clans kept to themselves, even though most where wanderers at hart. When all other Neopian species started concentrating on one side of the planet and cities started to arise, the Draiks withdrew themselves to the other side of the planet, the wilder lands, the socalled Outlands. A few remained in the area which would become Meridell in centuries to come, but most where repelled by the sudden gathering of creatures, the shattering of the peace of nature. The respect other creatures ever had for them, for their prowess, wisdom and strength, dissapeared slowly. Many creatures turned on them, for the wandering Draiks took up 'WAY too much room!' according to most. Clans where chased of their lands by hordes of creatures, and what was once pure and beautiful soon became riddled with cement, iron and tall buildings. So they fled, only to be seen a few times afterwards when they came to trade for medicines and weapons.
The Clans lived happily in their solitude, enjoying the wildness of the Outlands. Some started their own cities, legendary places of gathering. Others lived happily in the deep caverns scattered throughout the wilderness. They where content, and live went on. But soon the Clans discovered their mistake... the entire planet had been their territory, and by moving away from civilisation they had massed their numbers on only half the land they where used to live upon. And none of the Clans was willing to give up their small share of the Outlands. Clans started to guard their borders fiercely, sending out their most prized fighters to keep out the other Clans. Tension grew, though some leaders did not want to see this. The athmosphere in the Clans became tight, unbearable, and to maintain disciple the Clan leaders where forced to Outcast any Draik that dared to cause any kind of trouble. Soon bands of Clanless Draiks where wandering the lands, rebelling against the Clan Elders, provoking fights and attempting to get as many Draiks on their side as possible. Other Clans greedily watched their neighbours territory, moving the marked borders in the black of night. And what started with small fights slowly escalated into small wars. Meanwhile the 'civilised' lands where prospering, unaware of the turmoil at the other side of the planet.
Many tragedies happened in that time. Clans of noble warriors vanished, defeated by treachery. Leaders and kings turned to their mystics, throwing themselves at their mercy, believing all that was said, and so destroyed themselves from within. Other Clans refused to let fresh blood in, and became extinct over the centuries. Eventually hate and bloodfeuds ran so deep that nobody could even remember why there was so much anger. Clans started to seek allies, promising the lands of the opposing Clans as bounty. There was one final, all-out war... which decimated their numbers and left all Clans weakened. Then came the year of the Plague, a disease which whiped out half of the entire Neopian population... but for the Draiks this was the final, deadly blow. The cure came too late.
The survivors dissappeared into the wilderness, never to be seen again, and over time the Draik Clans became a mere memory, vanished in history, their heritage unknown. The Outlands where never explored, it took civilisation a long time to recover after the plague. The Draiks where forgotten, and time went on.

Then a miracle happened; in a lucky stroke Meridell was rediscovered, and ancient tomes where found, with stories of the long lost Draiks and the Outlands. While adventurers went to explore the Outlands and hunt for treasures, something stirred in Meridell. 7000 Draiks had survived over the ages, 7000 of the original millions, living in solitude, deep in the dark Meridell forests! They felt it was their time... and made their presence known to the world. And this time their greatest fear did not come true; Draiks where widly accepted in all sorts of Neopian families. History did not repeat itself, and Draiks became part of everyday Neopian life, mostly unaware of their heritage.

And now we come to the most important part of the tale (^^); me!
The Outlands had become quite a magnet for all sorts of treasure and thrill seekers, and along it's borders markets had shot out of the ground like mushrooms. Here Neopians sold supplies to the travellers, while the travellers sold their found treasueres and relics to the Neopians. Rare herbs and spices where also found in the Outlands, so the markets grew and grew. And ofcourse my owner had to go take a look, nosy person as she is. She withdrew money from the bank, booked passage on a ship, and off she went. She took her beloved fighter pet, Questaxx (my brother, an electric Gelert), with her as protection. Arriving at the Borders, she was stunned by the beehive that called itself a market. After a few days she learned her way around, and came across her favorite section; relics. She came to look at the goods for four days in a row, but saw nothing to spend her hard earned savings on. The morning of the fifth day her boat back would leave, so she and Questaxx got up early and left the local Inn, with time to spare. They detoured along her favorite section of the market, to say goodbye to it... and walked right into a brawl. Two chefs where shouting at eachother before a stand Ozz had never seen before, both clutching something that vaguely resembled and Egg. It was large, its leathery shell a muddled shade of dark blue. As Ozz approached the fighting duo, she could pick up some words.
No, I will buy it! It's the perfect ingredient for my famous Lemon Parfait!
In your dreams! All you can bake is pancakes, you kwak!! No, I will use this egg for my famous aperatif...
KWAK you said? I'll... I'll... RAWRRR!"
As the two disgruntled chefs lunged at eachother, the egg lay forgotten on the stand. Ozz edged her way around the fight and the growing mass of spectators, towards that stand, to take a better look at the strange egg. She had never seen such a thing before... The owner of the stand was watching the fight intently, grinning broadly. This would surely drive up the price for him! Questaxx sneaked underneath the stand, put his frontpaws on the table and briefly touched the mottled egg with his nose. With a sudden move he jerked his head away, his eyes widened in surprise, and then in disgust. As he sneaked back towards Ozz, he looked her in the eyes, pleadingly. She bent down, and he told her in a low voice that it wasn't only an Egg, but that it was alive! Ozz straightened up with a look of horror on her face. It didnt matter witch Chef would win, the unborn creature inside the egg was heading for a sure death! Without hesitation she approached the owner, and offered all her savings, double as much as the Chefs had offered. Silently they exchanged money and egg, and Ozz walked calmly away with the package underneath her arm, Questaxx glaring fiercely at anyone daring to come too close.

Back home her Potionborn Draik, Dracahz, instinctivly recognised the egg for what it was: a Draik Egg. Now you must understand something about Draik Eggs. Because of some mystical, foggy reason Draik Eggs can remain dormant and alive for centuries. Even though most of the ancient Draiks had died out, the hatcheries that had not been destroyed remained, hidden deep underground. The Eggs remained dormant, because to hatch such an Egg you need high temperatures, like Draik fire or vulcano grounds. The Meridell hatcheries where found a long time ago, but it was not untill the last of the Draiks emerged from the woods that people found out what to do with the eggs they found. Luckely most Meridellians had not eaten their finds yet...
This discovery caused a massive digging-spree in the Outlands, where traces of Draik-inhabitation already had been found shortly before. Never did shovels sell so good... Anyway, my owner actually came across that mottled blue egg just days before the news about the Draik Eggs had spread to the Borders of the Outlands. I would have been someone's breakfast if it wasn't for her... eeeek!
Now, because the Eggs had only 'just' been discovered, the location of the famous ancient breeding grounds, the socalled Draiks' Nest, was a mystery to all. So guess what? Since big & broody Dracahz was the only Fire pet Ozz had, he had to uhm... hatch my Egg! Mommy! Never mention it to him through, he might eat you alive...
After my birth Drac ignored me... he does not like young things very much, mainly because he has a short fuse and is afraid what he might do when he loses his temper.
So I grew up in the Treehouse, with my sister Koriluna, and my brother/sister (depends), Xyllian. I was quite a chubby little hatchling, according to my owner. I guess that's where I got my name from. That 'baby' picture (above) was actually taken a few weeks after my Hatching Day, because at birth I was a light shade of blue. This surprised Ozz a lot; Skunk Draiks like me are supposed to have pitchblack scales, and a single white stripe from nose to tailtip. But I did grow darker and darker the next few days, and eventually this dark shade of blue just... stuck. Not black though... how strange. My eyes turned from baby-blue to golden in a week, and little fins started sprouting from my neck, back and tail. Funny feeling, that is, even weirder then your teeth falling out all of a sudden, and then growing back! Oh, my tail, that's true... I dont have a cool tailspade like most Draiks do, mine is just... gone. Instead I have this weird ring further upon my tail, which does look kinda interesting, I admit. Even though we Draiks can not fly untill our third year (our wings are quite tiny at birth, and need at least 2 years to grow to a decent flying size), I was still always escaping. There are so many fascinating things out there! I was the local menace, my sisters dreaded babysitting me. I'd plough through gardens, loking for hidden treasures, tear up blankets to make escaperopes, or even jump out of the treehouse while insanely flapping my stubby little excuses for wings... Ozz had to mend me many, many times back then... she always says that all those bangs on my head explain a lot. I really do wonder what she means by that...
And then came the day I could finally, FINALLY, truly fly! You should have seen the looks on the faces of my darling siblings, standing there on the ground, watching me grow into a dot at the horizon. Mwaha! I was free! I thought... from that moment on Dracahz, became my reluctant chaperone. If I go out far, he follows me. Believe me, I have tried shaking him a zillion times! But he always finds me, very eerie that is.
Anyway, I grew up at the treehouse, together with my older siblings Kori and Xy. Though I stayed small in my first 5 years, I started to grow massively in my sixth. I'd eat everything in my reach! It didn't take a long time before I was even towering over Ozz, and even Dracahz! Now... let's skip a few years, this is boring.
The day I finally reached my full size, the day I stopped growing, the day I... uhm... yes that day, Dracahz told me I was no longer a child. I was huge, I thought, and other pets used to back away when I landed somewhere, or be too afraid to talk to me... for the old tales about the fierce nature of Draiks where spreading again. It was time to meet others of my kind, far far away... it was time to leave my childhood home. I was very excited; finally my big brother and me would travel Neopia, finally he saw me as a full Draik, not a bothersome babbling baby! Well, he still thinks I'm bothersome, and still calls me Hatchling sometimes... sigh. I longed to see Meridell, the fabled home of my kind, and maybe even Faerieland... when I told my brother about this, he frowned deeply, and told me that was not where we where heading. We where to travel at night, for the place where we where going was only known to Draiks, and should forever remain a secret to other neopians. One night he came to the Treehouse, telling me it was time. You cant believe how nervous I was! Finally I could have adventures, go where no Draik has gone before! (^^) But at the other hand... I'd miss my family horribly. After a looong goodbye (Dracahz:I'd like to leave THIS year please.) Drac and me finally cast off into the dark, stardotted sky.
At the crack of the third dawn we crossed the Outland borders, and what a sight that was! Drac seemed to be heading towards a high mountainrange far away, something he told me was named 'Midgard'. The closer we came, the more wild the surroundings became. We had passed the last camp of adventurers a day before.
In all my life Drac had been the only other Draik I knew, and I was very excited when I saw the first strange Draik. She was sparkling white in the rising sun, blue markings covered her body. She tipped her wing when she saw Drac, but did not stop. Instead she briefly looked downward before going her way, and Drac tipped his wing in return and nodded towards something below, in the receding shadows of the forest. I think I caught a glimpse of a darkish purple Draik, hiding from the brightening sunlight. It seemed that we where going to an important place...

As it turns out the Draiks I saw where named Doragonu and Sephirosu. These 2 and Dracahz had discovered a hidden area in the Outlands on one of their journeys, totally covered with signs that Draiks had once lived there, a long time ago. Was this a place where one of the greatest Clans once lived?

My owner is known as Ozzybantam (this account= queenofthedraikclan), but most people just call her Ozz. How lazy! ;) She loves to waste her time playing Neopets, drawing images and managing the website the Draik Clan (together with pyowolf1 and darkkitsune). She can get carried away easily, and often forgets about the assignments she has to do. She's going to be in a lot of trouble soon...
She loves to draw, chat, roleplay and all sorts of ideas sprout from her head at the strangest times. Overall she is a good owner, she always keeps us fed when we are at home, and she lets me go where I want... though I do suspect her of sending Dracahz after me as bodyguard. And that trophy-addiction of hers might become a problem. She has 6 pets at the moment; me, Koriluna (Baby Kougra), Xyllian (lab pet), Dracahz (Fire Draik), Questaxx (Electric Gelert) and Fortunay (Faerie Ixi). Dont worry, I'll tell you all about them! I might get a new brother soon, Jaravi, but that isn't sure yet... Ozz is always muttering about 'Plushie Paint Brushes not being worth that kind of np'.

Meet Koriluna, or just Kori, a young baby-colored Kougress who is, most of the time, my only sister. She has brightly blue-colored furr, covered with yellow stripes, quite a cheerful sight. On her forehead is a mark of the moon, and she has huge ears and a fluffy tail that is very nice to chew on... I got told off for doing that quite often in my hatchling days. Kori is one of the most playful pets I've ever seen, she just cant get enough of playing games with me or her friends, or practising her magic-tricks with her petpet Snowbunny, Moonshine. She is getting better and better at it, she doesnt make her petpet vanish that often anymore without being able to find her back for the next few days...
Even though she is, after all, a Baby Kougra, she despises to be treated as one. She can become very nasty towards people who talk to her in slow and highpitched voices and expect her to babble something like "Hewwo I'm a wittle bwaby can I pwease have shome cwandy?". As long as you treat her right, you wont have to worry about walking away with your face artfully scratched open. She also lives in the Treehouse, our neohome, and has stuffed all the rooms with not only toys, but also anything else she finds interestings, like pebbles, funny shaped twigs and leaves, shells she finds on the beach, feathers... luckely I'm much more of an outdoor lover, since my room is now home to her acorn-collection....

Dracahz, my big brother! Drac is your typical dark, broody, 'get-away-from-me-or-else' Fire Draik. His flames aren't painted, no, they seem as real as can be. He stands out quite a bit at night, and he despises baths... I'm very happy to have a Draik in the family, he was the only one that really understood me in my youth, though he didn't come to see me that often... Unlike me he is a normal-sized draik, adorned with sharp claws and nails. He is very quick to lose his temper, is very impatient (if his all-blue eyes shift to a red color, you better run...), and prefers to wander around on his own. He actually doesn't like company at all, or so he says (Ozz didn't like him wandering off alone all the time, so she gave him a petpet Melton that follows him around, to his great aggrevation). I think that's because of that weird thing that happened when he was turned into a Draik. Yup, he's what I call a Potionborn, a Draik that was once another kind of neopet, before drinking a magical potion. The potion didn't only leave him with flames with a mind of their own, but also with some very strange markings along his nose and forehead. He does like to be in the company of others Draiks though, I've never heard him speak as much as since the Draik Clan was created. Drac actually had a leading role in it's creation, but he hates it when younger members follow him around.
Anyway, as I told you before, Drac is usually watching me when I go off far away, still playing the guardian like he always has. He makes it seem that Ozz asked him one day to look over me, him being a big and strong male Draik, and me the younger weaker sister (yeah right... I am bigger!). I think he actually does care about others a bit, that he is not so cold as he pretends to be, but I will never ever get him to admit that. I love to tease him though, he's cute when he gets angry... and I'm a faster flyer anyway (thank draikness!).

Ah, ofcourse, Jaravi. I've already lost track of all the shapes our amazing Jar has taken by now. Jar is a socalled laboratory pet; addicted to the Secret Laboratory machine, a machine that can zap a pet into something random every day. I often come home and discover a totally strange neopet inside, and even attacked once... poor Jar was lame for a week. I told him... uhm... her.... oooh DANG! Thats the other problem; Lab Ray changes gender too. Believe me, that can cause very awkward situations.... Anyway, I told Jar to wear a blue ribbon around the wrist, that way I wont charge at him/her each time I come to visit. Oh, and if you go to visit Jar next, dont ask about the laboratory. He'll never stop talking then.
Jar also has a petpet, a plushie Doglefox named Nibble. This is because the previous petpets always began to freak out after a few morphs of Jar, becoming utterly confused and all nervous. Nibble is just... plushie. I must say he is pretty boring, laying around most of the time... And those black beady eyes freak me out.

Our hero, our fighter, Questaxx the Electric Gelert. He was Ozz's first pet, and still is the one that accompanies her on all their adventures. Drac and me are just too big, Kori too young, Xy doesnt want to leave the Lab, and Fort is too dreamy to be of any help. So Questaxx is our fighter, and he can often be found hanging around at the Training school. He was practically living there in the last big War, fighting against Darigan and it's evil Lord (and being pulverised in each fight... sore spot, don't mention it to him.). He even trains his blue Noil in the petpet Battledome now, the poor thing. He named him Braveheart, because Ozz mentioned that name once when she looked at the Noils' blue snout and burst out laughing. Strange. When he's not battling, or sleeping at the other neohome Ozz owns (near the waterfall, also in this forest), he's with... his girlfriend! He always starts to blush when we mention DiyaBlue, a lovely shade of red... Teehee I love to tease my big brothers! He always gets me back though... zapping me when I least expect him to be around is one of his favorites, he loves to see me jump&squeel. He somehow gathers a lot of static electricity just by walking around. I think that's why his hair always stands on end... that or he uses a bucket of hair gel a day. ^^

Ack! Yes, another brother... poor me, yes. More to tease though ;). Anyway, this is Fortunay, a male Ixi very proud to be a Faerie, and also my only other sibling with (permanent) wings. Those wings only sort of flitter a bit though, I was already beating him at racing in my third year. He joins the Beauty contests very often, and has gathered some trophies... dont worry, he'll never let you forget about that. Sigh. He does get teased often for being a male Faerie, but most of the time his head is so far away that he doesn't even hears it. I have learned to tell him everything I have to say in a rush, before he has lost himself in his thoughts again. He is often away, wandering around in the forest with Igor, his petpet Fangy, on his trail, nipping at his heels every so often to prevent his owner from walking smack into a tree. Yep, why did you think he has such a short snout? ^^ Just kidding. He just walks, daydreaming, pondering about... yes, what does a Faerie think about?
He seems to have inherited the deep care for nature that most Faeries seem to have, and can become quite vicious when he catches someone littering 'his' woods. He also has a gem stuck on his forehead, that wont come off... believe me, he tried. The silly thing does seem to have it's uses though, it has saved my bro from many a nasty situation. There is no real proof that the gem did that, though... *starts humming X-files tune*

Years and years I had to watch my siblings playing with their petpets... ofcourse they'd let me petpet-sit once in a while, or allowed me to play with them, but that still wasn't the same. After I was old enough to visit neopian Central on my own, I went almost every day to just stand there in front of the petpet shop, snout flat against the glass, staring at all the petpets. I knew exactly what I wanted: a petpet that would be a hundred times cooler then my brothers' and sisters' petpets, ofcourse! And it had to be able to fly, to zoom around with me... so I kept watching, and looking, and begging Ozz for one... but the answer always was:No Kee, you are too young Too young??!! No way! Ofcourse I was responsible enough! But I could wail and cry and beg all I wanted, I still wasn't allowed to buy a petpet. Years went by, and after a while I just gave up.
Then, on a bright winter morning, I was wandering a market, just as my owner had done so many years before. Questaxx was not my companion though, no, Dracahz was following me from a distance, ofcourse. This has always been one of my favourite games; shake Drac! I'd been to this Neopian marketplace before, and I figured I knew all the little alleyways enough to fool Dracahz... what can I say, I was young and ignorant. Drac always knew to find me... anyway, during one of my escape attempts I wandered into an alley I hadn't seen before, surprise surprise. It's tricky to run through a crowd of people, and I never saw the little flying thing zooming in my direction... untill we collided. A rain of paintbrushes came down on me, and before I knew it a shopkeeper came running around the corner, shouted something and then launched himself on top of me, pinning the little flying thing between me and himself. He grabbed it by the cuff of it's neck and held it up into the air, while several shop aids came to a stop next to me, panting heavily. After ordering his aids to pick up the scattered paintbrushes, he turned towards me, still holding the thing in his hand. "Thanks for catching that little thief!" He said, and offered his free hand to help me get up from the ground. Once I was vertical again, I saw what the little flying thing was... a Faellie! Not that extrordinary, those petpets had already been discovered by the hunters quite a while ago, and the initial novelty was gone. Petpets can be found roaming the Neopian planet freely, being basically a more intelligent type of wild creatures, though it isn't clear how intelligent they truly are. Because we have always known that these particular creatures where intelligent, we never eat them (some neopians do... how savage!). No, we Neopians only eat stupid things... I wonder if a carrot is stupid though. Carrots could be very intelligent. They might even be planning to take over the world.
Anyway, instead of hunting them for food, Neopets catch them to serve as companions. Once these creatures have been caught they are easy to tame, and form lifelong loyal companions. It's rare to find them wandering freely in a city though...

The shopkeeper told me that this Faellie belonged to the central petpet shop, on Main Avenue. It always escaped, and due to an almost eerie fascination for paint and colors, it always ended up in the marketplace to steal paintbrushes. The shopkeepers in this sector had already chased the creature 24 times, and they where beginning to get fed up. While he was talking the small Faellie began to squeek pitifully, tilted it's head, and looked at me with his pretty blue eyes... and at that moment it got me. No it's not a girl thing! It's just that he looked so scared then... shivering all over... and those cute eyes, and those ears... ooh and the little paws! Uhm... right. I was gullible indeed, as I found out afterwards. An innocent poor little Faellie indeed!
To make it short; I offered to take the Faellie back to it's shop, and when I arrived there, I was nearly not even let into the store! The shopkeepster gasped as she saw me coming and started a frantic run towards the door. I got to her just before she closed it though... hehe, I'm fast. And guess who chose to pop up at that moment? Indeed, my dear brother Dracahz. He stared at the shopkeepster, who was still attempting to close the door of the shop (which hurt, because I had put my foot in to prevent the door from closing) and was yelling to, I quote, "..take away the cursed winged rodent!" immediately. Drac then looked from the shopkeepster to the Faellie, who was clinging onto my neck. He then blinked, and looked at me. "You do get into a lot of trouble during the few seconds I'm not nearby, little hatchling, and..." He stopped mid-sentence when he saw my pleading eyes (or maybe he was admirering my face turning purple, due to the fact the the Faellie was clinging onto my neck a tad TOO enthousiastically), and groaned. "Oh no... she wants to keep it." he sighed. I knew he wasn't going to allow me to keep the petpet, no matter how much I begged and whined. But then the shopkeepster decided for us; she managed to close and lock the door, leaving Drac no choice but to take the petpet. Ofcourse that didn't have anything to do with me removing my foot... After getting home and surviving Ozz's tirade, the little Faellie was accepted as a member of our ever-growing family. He immediately plundered my own stash of paint (after having chewed through my bedsheets), and has since then refused to let me paint him into a decent color... noooo, mister has to paint himself! You can see what that has gotten him... sigh. Oh, that's a baby photo! He was soooo cute back then! They grow up so fast, don't they...
Of course there was only one name I could possibly give the sweet little pest; Paint! Overall he does obey, or pretends to listen. I'm already more then happy to have a winged creature as petpet, no matter what crazy quirks he might have. I do have to teach him to keep his paws away from my strawberries though... Despite his tiny form he is fast enough to be able to keep up with me, as long as I'm carrying his brushes. There is one thing though; never EVER fall asleep near Paint. He totally disagrees with every single existing Neopian color, and as soon as he gets the chance, he will... redesign... any living thing in his reach. And his paint is darned hard to get off, believe me, I know...
Luckely there is one thing that can always keep him busy enough to allow my family and me a good night's rest; Bandit! Bandit is also a Faellie, owned by one of my best friends, the draik Doragonu. Dora is on a holiday now though, so I can show you any photo's of Bandit and Paint together. Which also means that Bandit isn't around... oh no...

Aaah yes, the things I like. I love all things in life, grass, sun, wind, peanutbutter, kites, stars, wool blankets, thunder storms... I can go on forever and ever and ever and ever and... ever, but Ozz has threathened go give me a... oh the horror... a... a... BATH if I dont keep my list a bit short. The spoil sport! Ofcourse all my visitors have all day to listen to me! The person before you fell asleep halfway through my story though, must have been the hike... ofcourse.
Anyway, These are the things I like:
  • Well, I'd love to say Dracahz... but if he hears I said that he'd bite my head off. Oy.
  • Flying, ofcourse! Nothing feels better then the air pushing beneath your wings (you MUST have seen that line coming...), to soar through the clouds, to feel like a goddess when you gaze upon the tiny world below, to swoop over unsuspecting visitors just too see their faces... oops. He-he... didn't mean to say that...
  • I also LOVE to swim! In the water that big, long body of mine becomes as light as a feather. I'm kinda proud at the amount of time I can hold my breath, and my super-dives I've been perfecting over the years... the bigger the splash, the better! Especially if I get to douse Dracahz... and ofcourse the water is the one place he cannot follow me. That's why I also love the snow ;)
  • Paint, my petpet Faellie! He's so warm, and soft, and furry.... dreammy... bright... colorfull... fun... exciting... adventurous... couragous... fierce... sweet too, though... and he listens... sleeps next to me... snores too, though, and yelps in his sleep... and ofcourse he can fly with me... huh? Oh, yes, ofcourse, let's get to the next thing I like.
  • Strawberries rule! I can't explain it, I just love the darned things.
  • Adventures with my fellow Draiks. Or to play with Clan Draiks. Tailball is extreemly cool... you know what? I just love the Clan!

I love ALMOST everything... but there are a few things that make my scales curl, that send a shivver from the tip of my tail up to the top of my neck.
  • Art thieves, design thieves, idea thieves, text thieves, story thieves, pet thieves.... because they make Ozz so incredibly sad. How depressive.
  • Licorice. Euggg, I really can not stand the sticky icky stuff! No, give me strawberries any time.
  • Caves. Small spaces scare me (*claustrofobia), that's why I have my room here at the top of the treehouse, with an open roof. In the Clan territory I sleep outdoors, or in the forests.
  • Ants. Those little red buggers are hardly visible, move incredibly slow, but they still manage to get inbetween your toes and bite into the soft skin there. Dreadful things.
  • And I fear boredom. I always have to have something to do, or go insane. Ozz always says I'm like the little energiser bunnies, whatever that might mean...
Enough about that. It got me all depressed... Let's go do another thing I love; looking at pretty pictures! Come on! I'm sure you still have enough energy left to last untill the finish ;)

According to my owner, art is one of the best things in the whole wide world... www? She can just sit down and sketch for hours... She actually wanted to put ALL her drawings here, but then I 'gently' reminded her that THIS IS MY SITE! Hmpf! And it wouldn't fit here anyway, all her art. So uhm... here are the pictures of me that aren't scattered over this page ;) Enjoy!

Me drawn by my owner, Ozzybantam.

Comics, featuring me, drawn by my owner... don't ask.
She just gets 'creative' sometimes... luckely it's only ONE.

Seen enough of all those piccies drawn by my owner? Then check these out! I love it when other people draw me, though I DO have to sit still a lot... Ozz is always complaining about me twitching too much when she is drawing me. Can I help it that it make me itch all over? That horrible sound of a pencil, scratching over a piece of paper... eeek! If I had hairs, they would have stood up straight. Anyway, here are some great pictures other people drew, and then sent them to my owner, so she can give them to me. I love getting presents like that! And I absolutely want to show them of, so... here they are!

Sigh... that was it. No more pretty pictures... Weren't they pretty? I'd love to have more of them though!
Which reminds me, my owner told me to tell you she is NOT drawing for other people right now, she is busy enough with me, and my brothers and sisters. She is always saying that drawing me is like drawing 4 neopets, I'm that big! So it's no use asking her... you know what is weird? She does sometimes make pictures for friends who DONT ask her for it! That's how she works, she hates pushy people. Ask and you wont get it... Exactly why I never ask her for strawberries, and always get them from her ^^.

Oh, one more thing... I have heard that some people think it is okay to take pretty pictures with them after visiting petsites, taking them even though they did not make them, and then they put it on their own sites! This is stealing! And it makes me so terribly sad...
My owner always finds out, all the Draik Clan members always look around for stolen art, and she has a lot of friends. She also always checks the beauty contest every week, to see if a thief has entered my pictures as if they are his/her own. If she sees a thief, she reports him/her to the Neopets staff, and she will ask all her friends to report that thief. Some thieves have even been frozen! Did you know that removing the '(c) Ozzybantam' texts from my pictures is not only a crime in Neopia, but also a crime on 'Earth'? Now you do. So uhm... stealing these pictures will get you more trouble then you can imagine. oh, I'm not saying you are a thief, but some people are, and I just need to warn them. And if you ever see a stolen image of me somewhere, guest, then please tell my owner about it, she appreciates that a lot.

Adoptables? Those are fun! Ozz explained to me what they where the other day... lemme see if I can remember what she said...
Artists sometimes decide to be nice and give out little pieces of their art for free. They draw a little image of, for example, a Draik, and then color it in ALL the colors Draiks come in! Then they put them somewhere people can see them, together with something that will help you take them with you to your site. Cool, aint it?! And some artists also make custom adoptables, they color one of their pictures in such a way that it looks like your pet. Thats what those people below did for me! My owner also has Draik adoptables you can take with you, but she only makes customs for Draik Clan members that post in the 'art forum'.

Custom Adoptables of Keeranu!
Me, me, me, me... and me! Purrr....

Aren't they the best?!!! I love all of them! If you click on them, then you can see where they came from, and maybe even adopt your own! But mine are the best ones, ofcourse ^^
Sadly some adoptables become red crosses, because their artists pull them down without telling my owner that she should save the images herself. What a waste!
If you have made me a custom and it isn't up here... tell me, then I'll go chew on Ozz's arm untill she puts it up here...

-blocked--blocked--blocked- -blocked-Xy, my sis... bro... uhm... well, Xy is the lab pet in the family.

  • Shai Rojat, oriental Shadow Draik. He's so cool... and is related to Dora.
  • Morsa, a very special female Fire draik. I dont know much about her, but she seems nice.

  • Doragonu of Raoichi Dora, White Draik of the Raoichi Clan and one of my best friends! She owns Bandit, Paint's Faellie buddy, and is a Clan leader.

  • -blocked-Visit Kori's Den! Kori is my sister, a Baby Kougra, but not quite the avarage kind...

  • Sephirosu-The Dark one Sephirosu is an ancient dark Purple Draik, and he is kinda scary... but fair. He's also one of the Clan leaders!

  • -blocked- Harffel is the first island Draik ever, and is great company. Go visit her island paradise sometime!

These links will take you to Draiks that I just know, they are not my (Keeranu's) 'close friends'. I really admire their petpages (pretty pictures!), and I think you should go take a look at them if you have the time!
Oh, and dont ask my owner if she could put your linkie here. She likes to pick the sites herself, and does not respond to neomails asking for a spot amongst these links.

-blocked-come and drift into a dream -blocked-*pokes* o.o Meep Visit or else... -blocked--blocked-OrionEnkidu

And these links will take you to petpages of Draiks that belong in the Draik Clan. Enjoy!

Last, but not least, I'd looove to show you my awards!
These where given to me by the BEST neopians ever! (Hover over them with your mouse to see who gave them to me.)

*Sparkle Sparkle* -Shikku gave me my very first petsite trophy!
    Thank you Greer!

I haven't won any Beauty Contest yet, because Ozz hasn't even entered me before! Sigh...
Other awards? Which ones are there... Gourmet Club? No WAAAY! I wont be able to fly if I get that fat! Pet or Petsite Spotlight awards? Nah, again, Ozz has never even entered me... she always says that we wouldn't win anyway.
Petsite awards from other people? Hmmm... now THAT's a good idea! I haven't won any myself, but I'd love to hand them out! There must be a lot of pets out there that deserve trophies but have none... hmmm... I wonder if Ozz will make a few for me.
I'm gonna go ask! I hope to see you again later, bye!

Yay! You made it to the end of this extra-long site! Teehee! You know what would be fun? Start at the top again!
    ^-^
