A thick mist clings to the trunks of the blackened trees. Suddenly in the mist ahead the silouete of what looks like an equine with torn skin appears. Dim crimson glowing eyes peer straight at you. Cobalt

Cobalt first caught my attention when she wandered in to my dark forest. Unlike others she didn't seem lost or afriad, quite the opposite. She had been sent to burn my dark home, and being it's guardian I went to intervene. Though very beautiful, she was cold and her eyes were filled with hate. Yet there was something else about her, other than the anger she felt. It didn't take long before another side of Cobalt's personality began to shine through. Underneath all her hate I found a warm, kind and almost vulnerable heart.

I don't know if she'll ever know how much she has helped me. When we were attacked by my counter part, she stood her ground and even defended me from his attacks. No one has ever been able to face the black wraith stallion and beat him... Cobalt is the first. Not only that, she has shown me such warmth and friendship unlike any other, regardless of my appearence. I don't feel so different around her. If anything, I gain confidnce with her mere presence.

To thank her, I showed her the treasure that I guard from all others... What happened after this point will remain a secret between her and me... I treasure her more than I do my secret or my home put togther.

I remember our brief meeting, in the herdlands of the shadowed spirits. I remember her most intricately patterned coat, she was very beautiful. She seemed such a kind mare... but it all seems so long ago... All just a memory... I doubt she'd ever accept what i have become.

*A smile rises on his muzzle* There is someone who I hold eternally close to my heart... she is as much a secret as the treasure I keep hidden in this forest.

Well, here we are. Keep on going and you'll soon find the light of a small village. You'll be safe there, the other creatures of this wood do not like the light.'

-Here he waits as he watches you walk away. The story he told you plays over and over in your head. Thinking of a question you turn around, but he is nowhere to be seen. Again you carry on walking. Now you are faced with choices. Will you return to meet with him again? Or possibly just keep the secret to yourself? Or would you spread the word of your meeting, whether telling the honest truth, or twisting the truth?-
