About Me! Hey everyone! My name is Pavnin, and I am an Usul! I live in Neopia Central with my owner potatoeman and my petpet MuffinTin. I am fairly old the way things are on this site, I remember back when I was completely blue with red highlights... *sigh* those were the days, but anyways. I'm making this page to tell you about myself, I personally didn't want to do the talking, but Potatoeman didn't want to even more! So I decided I might as well, I'll just do my best anyways. So yeah, I love being an Usul: I get to climb trees, run around with my friends, and I think I'm quite cute, don't you? Hey, what did you say? Nevermind... I enjoy hanging out with my friends; we like going to the shops in town and I just love buying books--reading books is my favourite hobby; all the civilized pets read, as opposed to going to the battledome which seems to be the "in" thing now. I've never wanted to be in the "in" crowd; I like to be my own Neopet not confined by the boundaries placed by others, although sometimes I do enjoy a good fight. My owner sometimes makes me train at the Training School on Mystery Island so I figure I might as well use my skills (if you could call them that!). So yeah, I have lived in Neopia, like I said, for a long time now; I'm actually 83724 hours old which is quite old don't you think? I'm still, however, quite young, and most of my friends are younger than I! Anyways, you can keep looking at my site for more information about me (the best kind) and about my life here at Neopets. Stats! Oh, you wanna see my stats? I don't really know why... you aren't thinkin' about challenging me, are you? I don't really want to accept any challenges; like I said, I much prefer to read and such as opposed to going to the Battledome! Don't take that to mean I'm weak! I do swing a pretty mean Sword of Domar, you know! Anyways, pay special attention to my Intelligence so I can act all special for you, okay? IF YOU DON'T, I'LL DEFENESTRATE YOU!! *ahem* Sorry, had to get that out of my system...*sigh*

MuffinTin! Hey hey! It's me again, Pavnin! What, you thought you got rid of me? NEVER! Mwa ha ha ha ha ha....ha.....ha, nevermind. In any case, for once this isn't about me...it's...*reaches behind back*...about...*pulls out a very bewildered Angelpuss!*...THIS! MuffinTin! My Angelpuss! Isn't she cute? Say 'hello' Muffintin! *blink blink, purrrr* Isn't that sweet? I found MuffinTin a couple of months ago. Potatoeman hadn't bought me a petpet before; I think he wasn't certain I could handle the responsiblity, also, it seemed kinda silly at the time to get a pet for your pet. I didn't press him though, but one day I was shopping in Neopia Central (I bought pretty flowers for my Garden! *smile* *smile*) when I heard a pitiful mew from behind the Magic Shop. I looked back there and there she was. Poor MuffinTin was a disheveled wreak when I found her, but I coaxed her out with some Chocolate from the Chocolate Factory and soon she was flying all over the place! I brought her home and Potatoeman let me keep her, joy joy! Since then, MuffinTin goes with me almost everywhere! (Except when I play Extreme Herder--it's too traumatising to watch other Angelpusses get eaten by that horrendous glutton Balthasar!) MuffinTin is also quite helpful sometimes: her halo (isn't it cute!) acts as a nightlight for me; her wings allow her to reach things even my climbing skills can't; and she'll always help me with alacrity... she's my best friend!

My Friends! HI! This part is about my friends! We have a lot of fun together and often go into Neopia Central and to the Battledome. Also, everone looooves MuffinTin, right? RIGHT? (MuffinTin: Purr!) Picture Name, Owner Description Dratt, daffodillmoon A blue Shoyru, Dratt is an only child just like me, so we have a lot in common. Also, because he's an only child, Dratt is a bit childish and quite spoiled, of course that's where we differ, RIGHT!? Still, he's quite brave and loyal and he is a good friend. Milly_Lockheart, _gul_dukat_ Milly_Lockheart is a Pteri, and I think he's got a girl's name! Not that it has anything to do with it, but does Milly sound like a boy's name to you? Nooooo. Oh well. Milly_Lockheart is quite nice but he has this thing about always adding the Lockheart in, you can't just call him Milly, it's annoying--did I already mention that? In any case, Milly_Lockheart is quite brave but sometimes a little slow; he spends too much time training for the battledome and not enough time reading (I can still beat him though!) Ahrrl, _gul_dukat_ Ahrrl is a green grundo and has a tendency to cry a lot, he's a crybaby in other words! He's also quite dumb (sorry Ahrrl, wait, can you even read?) Well, it's true...I'll bet you've forgotten what I said already! Anyways, Ahrrl is still a good friend and very loyal, however I often have to defend him from Milly_Lockheart's taunting. He also has a tendency to say Ahrrl a lot. Like this: "Ahrrl, gurtly big grundo be I!

I must admit, most of them are false, I mean, I'm just a regular Neopet, it's not like I'm gonna have stories made up about me saving Neopia and then go around passing them off as actual events... that's lying! However, I hope they amuse you for at least a little while, and if they don't, please don't neomail me calling me mean things? Please? (MuffinTin: Purrr!)

Removed for the time being! A Poetry Submission WHICH WAS NOT ACCEPTED, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Here it is with the full introduction-of-much-logical-and-artistic-sense. Unlike the usual *modern* poetry with rhyming couplets you post, why not a proper epic in the style of Milton using archaic blank verse? If variety you seek, then an epic is sorely needed. Seek the wonder found within the greater community of classics and read my tale. "A Venerable Day Rests Not Within Thine Limits" An Epic in Four Cantos by potatoeman Sing Muse to tell this weary tale I seek, And take us to the far and shadow'd place Where beauty and dark evil do contend To take a sore and weary fight of wits. At last the Spiritus Mundi doth wide Far spread its doors and out of it a vision: Canto I She danced within the shadowed frock alight With ne'er gleaming frown yet though to share A passing smile with those who gazed around. The shoyru sat upon the crest delighting The sun from high, and rested in the far And wide to darkness visible inside. A curse she felt upon her breast that wrench'd Her very soul; a hope long left to Death Was wrought and lasting gone forever more. Far flung upon the rocky shoals her light Dark dimmed delighted not in pleasure gone, Alone, alone, she thought to search, but not So was her withr'd heart—bereft of splendour. She was quite trapped with not a hope to search Free passage for to find; the meadows lay Below the drenching rains of dew below, The sky's own urn contained her life's grim ash And in her depths the very dark resides. Now came a form fast flitting flying high Like Ophiucus raising hoary head To burst aflame with sun's despising grin As sighting forth the world's recesses low, Descending it didst spread its arms awide, The shoyru sought to see escape--not so! 'Twould seem the Sloth had come for her this day. Canto II Belinda ('twas the maiden's name) did cry And clutch her wither'd frock to crying eyes, And raising voice in weakness up and spake: "Alight not on mine light once more thou foul Demonic fiend—to win, not so, as this, Mine cell, doth separate the light I feel Since twice the sun's own yearly pass you left Me clinging to my life up here on these High hellish heights. Begone from me, my gaze Doth with'r under putrid sight of thee!" Whereto with speedy words he spake with fire: "Your fault it 'twas to set yourself up here, Attacking at your village was my task (I grant thee truth upon this point) but in My nature are these wanton deeds, and so Myself not guilty of a crime, but rath'r To deal the Death as I must timely do! Your fault it was that you did stay alive— No consequence of mine own frightful act! Fair sense it was to set you up on here To stop your spreading of these words so foul." So saying, sacred shoyru cast herself From off the tower into windless air. Canto III A screech upon the winding earth did rend The drifting shoyru's breath and tattered wings, And to her eyes the ground did rise to meet Her falling fate—fair Truth, delight us with Your tale, for not did she descend to earth But rather earth ascend to her own fall: A spell quick cast by that disgusting Sloth. To save her wicked life? Not so. Instead To keep in Purgatory time most lengthen'd. Collaps'd upon the weary soil she lay While Sloth didst laugh to see her fate—she breathes. "Escape shan't come whether in death or life, For barred are all the ways to happy life So long as knowledge lives within your mind: And nature 'tis to keep it there prolonged Until the pale and strength'nd hand of Madness Doth come to claim your batter'd brain; so long Will be these days within your lofty cell." Up rose he did to leave her lone, and yet She spoke with words so lofty and so sore That all of Nature retched to hear with sadness The sorry sated plight of that fair wench. Canto IV A single thought now took its fiery hold Inside the tear-dowsed mind of she who fell Upon the rais'd green earth. And so she spake: "I see now that your way is far the bett'r, For one whose strength will never come undone Must surely lead the madding crowds found here Within the cloudy circle of this world. So treason 'tis to fight against the one Whose reason sets him far above the rest; And regicide and parricide 'twould be To contemplate his not-deservèd death. So take me now within thine ranks and free Me from the prison of volition. Black My dreams and aspirations forth will be From now this day until eternity!" So Sloth did smile to see this sight as she Did raise her arms towards his shady form, And reached a hand to help her to her feet. The tower of the earth towards the ground Descended, taking far away its gaze Unto the stony cliffs below. As falling Her mind was focused on one thought alone: To please her master with her humble service, To act all times with her alacrity, And quickly change to aid that side which show'd A force to not attempt with new attempt. Opinions chang'd and soon all sadness left, For proud and in the grasp conformity Will bring, she cast aside own thoughts and then Under the fiercest gaze, at last she thought That in her mind was happiness. Perhaps.
