Though the sun shown brightly over-head, little light reached through the towering trees. Mighty branches, adorned with dark leaves rake against each other in loud complaints as the chilling winds rolled over them, with a touch cold as death embracing around you. The seemingly never-ending darkness weave itself around you, threatening to engulf you into the dark void forever.

Your eyes had become fixated to the darkness, though even it was hard to see, the dim outlines of the large trees, and the old abandoned dirt path kept you on the steady road, the road that would safely guide you through the desolate forest. Or so it had seemed to.

Something stirred to your left, soundlessly the figure appeared upon an outstretched branch that could sustain his weight. Instantly your gaze shot to the newcomer's direction. Cold, lifeless eyes of the deepest red gazed intensely into yours, the very heartless look within them sending light chills down your spine. You could barely make out the lithe form of the lupine. "W-hat do you want?" You squeaked out.

Your reply to your inquiry was utter silence. The dangerous gleam that had glimmered in the figure's eyes seemed to die down a little, as he regarded you as not worth his time. Shifting on the branch, he disappeared as mysteriously as he had come, in a puff of light smoke. Who was he? you wonder to yourself, before scurrying back down the path.
