TangoKitty
Welcome to my life...

Hey, guest. Welcome. I'm TangoKitty -- Tango, to my friends, Savvy? I used to be a huge roleplayer, but then everyone went all stupid, so I migrated, and now you can usually find me lurking around the FC's, or IS's.

I'm a Twitless RP'er. You don't know what that is? Well, then allow me to educate you.

Twit -- 1. One who uses nothing but chatspeak to roleplay. This is vair vair annoying and makes the people look very stupid and twitty. See also "Illiterate".
2. One who uses large and stupid words that they do not know the meanings of, and takes them completely out of context. eg, "Audis", "Optics", etc. These people may also call themselves "Advanced", or "Literate."

To quote a poem supplied by missvicky12,

For want of a word, the phrase is lost.
For want of a phrase, the sentence is lost.
For want of a sentence, the paragraph is lost.
For want of a paragraph, the story is lost.
All meaning is lost for the want of a word.

Quoth rottenriku,

...'literate people' with their pilars and their tassels...They are not cushioned roman architecture

Quoth Tango,

If I have to hear the phrase, '(insert discriptive color here) optics scanned the terra' One more time, I think I may lose all faith in humanity.

Quoth craniumrat42:

I've yet to see any SERIOUS author use 'Femora o' ivorn hue flicks back rainbowed pinna and emits from 'er jowls a howl as 'er orbs roll 'eavenward'...

Please note,
that with my dictionary, I don't mean to offend; only to get my point across, and also illustrate my style of roleplaying. If you prefer to use these words, you have every right to do so; I merely wish to educate you about the misuse of the English language, and perhaps provide some amusement for other Twitless RPers such as myself.

If you are a twit, please don't come to a Twitless RP just to flame us. Create a Twitful RP if you want to -- no one can stop you. Likewise, if you are a twitless RPer, as I am, please do have some pride and simply AVOID Twitful RPs. Don't make rude comments at the people there. Just ignore them and start your own RPs.

Tango Theory of Twitty Word Evolution

You see, the entire problem is that similes have become metaphors, and metaphors, once grossly overused, have become nouns. This is the Tango Theory of Twitty Word Evolution. (c) Tangokitty

Eg. Simile: The lupess stood tall, her flame-licked legs like columns.
Metaphor: The lupess stood tall on flame-licked columns.
And so, from there, the word "Column" will eventually be adjusted to mean "Legs".

TWIT DICTIONARY

Now, for what you all came here to see. All of these words have really been used in RP's, no matter how hard that may be to believe. All definitions are from Dictionary.com.

Terra - Used to mean "terrain". Actual meaning - A rough upland or mountainous region of the moon with a relatively high albedo. O_o

Tassel - Used to mean "tail". Often misspelt as "tassle". Actual meaning - 1. Adornment consisting of a bunch of cords fastened at one end. 2. The flower or head of some plants 3. A male hawk
Note: I personally find it acceptable to use "tassel" to describe the tuft of fur at the END of one's tail, such as would be found on a lion. Lupes, gelerts, wolves and the like do NOT have tassels.

Maw - Used as "muzzle" and sometimes "head". Actual meaning: 1. The mouth, stomach, jaws, or gullet of a voracious animal, especially a carnivore. 2. Appetite; inclination 3. A stomach; the receptacle into which food is taken by swallowing.
Note: Although it is *technically* correct to refer to a mouth as "maw", the actual word refers more to the stomach or gullet than the muzzle.

Columns - Used to mean "legs". Actual meaning: 1. In architecture; A supporting pillar consisting of a base, a cylindrical shaft, and a capital 2. Something resembling an architectural pillar in form or function 3. Any of various tubular or pillarlike supporting structures in the body, each generally having a single tissue origin and function: the vertebral column.
Note:The last one is where most twits get confused. You see, they only read, "Any of various tubular or pillarlike supporting structures in the body" ...But this does NOT REFER TO LEGS OR LIMBS.

Femora - This is my absolute favorite. In fact, I burst into uncontrollable laughter when twits use this word to describe "females". Actual meaning: 1.A bone of the leg situated between the pelvis and knee in humans. 2. A functionally similar bone in the leg or hind limb or a vertebrate animal. 3. The thick, most muscular segment of the insect leg, situated between the trochanter and the tibia.
Note: Do I really even need to say anything?

Audis (Auds) - This refers to "ears". Actual meaning: None. This is not a word. Or at least, it's not listed in any dictionary I've seen. It seems that some twit invented this from the word "audio.

Fae - This is often used to refer to mean "Female." Similar to femora. It's a shortened Celtic name derived from "Faerie". The correct usage is to refer to a FEMALE of any species that is painted Faerie.
Note: I rather like this word, and use it a lot to describe Sari, who is, in esscence, a fae.

Mascu - This is not a real word; it's what lazy twits use as a shortened (noun -.o) "masculine".

Brute - A word used to mean "male". See also "mascu". Actual meaning: 1. An animal; a beast 2. A brutal, crude, or insensitive person.
Note: Although this does describe certain personalities of lupes/wolves/kougras/whatever, and is technically correct to refer to them as such, "brute" is NOT a synonym for "male.

Talons - People are very stupid and twitty these days if they actually think that "Talon" means "foot" or "claws", especially when they're reffering to a lupe O_o; Actual Meaning: The claw of a bird of prey.
Note: Well there you go then! DON'T USE THIS IN PLACE OF FOOT when you describe a lupe or wolf. The only possible context in which this would be correct is if you used it in reference to a Darigan lupe. X__X
