Have you ever wondered what a blind man sees? Black maybe? Yet, if it was black... then why hasn't been called "blackness" but "darkness". Darkness... Yes... something more powerful, controling, deadly, and of much higher degree then just the color black.

- - Why is darkness so close? - -

Father, why is it so dark?" the young child's voice echoed in a narrow pathway, lit only by the torch being held by the parent. But the child krawk, didn't recieve his answer. He rarely did anymore, ever since that one incident. He just was replied by a grunt or even nothing. What was so bad about him?

At the end of the long hallway was a door. It wasn't a "normal" door of anysort. It had a black steel frame, with many screws holding layers upon layers of steel together. A lock held it shut, rusted and worn. It hadden't been used in years, maybe decades. The father gave an audible sigh, that shot down the child's thought that he became deaf. The male adult krawk took a key from his jacket pocket. Few krawks ever wore jackets, but it was something that was neither put down or honorable. His long cut claws grasped the rusted lock and unlocked it. He took of the equally rusted chain and opened the heavy door with little effort. The next words was the last the young krawk ever heard... for a long time:

BEGONE WITH YOU CHILD!"

Before the young one knew it, we was thrown in. "FATHER! FATHER?! Faath-h-her...?" the young krawk faded into a whisper as he banged on the door. But what had happened wasn't going to go away. He was stuck... his own father did this to him... All he heard were the rattling of chains. Even without the chains and the lock, he knew that he wouldn't be able to get out, the door was too heavy. It was dark, he was very scared of the dark. He wimpered and tears flowed down his cheeks, then he curled up and fell over to the cold hard floor. He drifted away in a sleep, but it wasn't a kind of wonderful restful sleep, it was a nightmare.
