It was a mildly cloudly day, on a open grassland, with trees scattered about. An ice bori was enjoy the brisk coldnes. He was still young, but he did have strands of gray hair around his muzzle. He sighed, reviewing old memories of different times through his head.
Ears perked and his eyes looking about, the skunk bori was on high alert as he walked across the field. Something seemed odd, he could sense something familiar, something that he knew but did not know. What was this thing, that put him on edge?? Eventually, he saw what initially looked like a hunk of ice, but soon realized it to be a bori like himself. His ears flattened some as he stopped and watched it carefully.
Moonkak's thoughts scattered all of a sudden. A farmiliar scent had entered this place, one he had not smelled in years. However, as he looked around, nothing was out of ordinary. He thought he was just imagining things, until he saw a dark shape a little ways off in the distance. What could that possibly be? He thought. He decided to investigate. He got up, and started walking toward the shape.
Normally timid in nature, Raeiki began to back away slowly, lowering his body in the grass as he saw Moomkak steadily coming closer?
As he saw the shape lower it's slf into what he thought was an attacking postion, he stopped. Right now was not the time for a fight, for he was quiet tired. "Who is there?" He called out.
Wha...what do you want?" Reaiki called back, frightened now and almost frozen in place, his ears perking up ever so slightly.
Moonkak relaxed, figuring that the bori wasn't hostile. "I'm just checking to see who was there." He said. He approced the bori. "My name is Moonkak. What is yours?" This bori did seems awfully familiar to him...
I am...Raeiki." He answered, as he began to slowly stand up, but cautiously, still unsure of Moonkak. That name was so familiar...but how did he know it?
Raeiki?!" He froze. He hadn't seen Raeiki in the longest time. Still, why did he not remember him? "I haven't seen you in years! Do you not remember me?" He asked. Something was strange about this entire thing.
I've only just met you." He said confused. "How do you know me?" HE asked, his ears perked up in curiousity.
But I've known you for-" He paused. "I can only guess that you have lost your memories some how if you do not remember me. Let me check." He sat down, sighing. "Raeiki, does the name 'Xeekon' seem farmiliar to you?" He asked intently.
He nodded some. "I know another bori named Xeekon, but I don't like him. I don't know why though." He said, his ears flattening.
It's because...He is from your old life. I remember him. Evil...Heartles..He is definately a bori to avoid." Moonkak said. He got up again, scraping at the ground. "Perhaps those memories are best left forgotten."
Old life?" He said confused, giving Moon a puzzled look. "Do you mean like that stuff Raonio was talking about?" HE asked, remembering what RAomio told him as a cub about the elements.
So you have met Raonio. And yes, your old life does have a great deal to do with he elements. You are (or were) the element of darkness. However, many of the elemental bori have died off or disspeared. The only living ones I know of are you, Raonio, a bori named Chee, and me." He said. He really doesn't remember anything, he thought to himself.
O...ok." He said, still nervous to a degree. "So..in my um...old life, how did I know you?" He asked, red eyes looking up into Moon's black and blue.
Moonkak paused for a second. "Well....I do remember you were cursed. There was a darker, eviler bori inside of you that came out when you got angry or stressed. You would attack anyone, friend or foe. I think we met when you attacked me, but then came back to your senses afterwards." He said, no looking away from Raeiki.
That sounds like him..." He said, referring to the evil that would sometimes take control of the shy bori every once in awhile.
He still possess you? This is not good. I thought the curse would be lifted..." Moonkak said. He sat upright. "This darkness that is in you is the reason why xeekon and the dark you exsist.
I don't get it, why is it there...I've never done anything mean to anyone and I'm not evil." He said, his ears flattening again.
I know this. The darkness that is in you...Is from your first birth. You original father was a bori of darkness to, I believe." He said. tensing up as Raeiki's ears went back.
You mean my dad from my old life?" He asked. "Well, where is he now. Maybe he can help." He said with a smile.
Well...." Moonkak faultered. "That is one thing I don't know. However, we can search for him, if you want to." He said, not wanting to dissapoint the skunk bori.
Um...ok. Do you know where he usually is?" He asked, his ears perking up some.
No. That's why we should try to find him somehow!" Moonkak said, spirted. He stood up. He started trotting forward.
Ok." He said, following him, wondering why he was so high in spirits all of a sudden.
Moonkak smirked, amused by the young bori's skepticisim. This is going to be interesting... He thoughtnto himself. "So, I think we should head down to where to element bori always used to be." He said after awhile.
Where is that?" He asked as he followed him.
He pointed north. "There are some woods up this way. If we go through there and keep heading north, we should make it there." He said encouragingly.
To the mountain?" He asked, his ears perked up. The mountain, something about it gave him feelings of both joy and sorrow, but he never knew why.
Yes, that way. I think we will make it there in about 5 days or so at this pace." He said. He started picking up his pace abit.
He nodded. "Alright." With that, he began to pick up the pace, his tail swaying behind him as they trotted along.
Moonkak trotted along, noticing the shrubbery getting denser as they went along, "Better be careful around here," He said. "You never know when a kougra or lupe may be around. Keep yopu guard up!
Ok." He said rather nervously, but he tried to remain calm. Ears flattening, as he looked about.
