Perhaps it is just the spray from the waterfall rising in the air, but this mare seems to shimmer with an ethereal aura of her own. And when she turned her delicately tapered dial to face you, the glittering pink orbs set in her Arabian head seem to stare straight into your soul. A small yet exquisitely beautiful smile crept over her radiant features, and she stood up gracefully, long, slender legs unfolding from beneath her to stand weightlessly on the moss-carpeted ground. Although you have never met her before, she seems to have been expecting you, as she made her path straight for you without hesitation. Her thin pillars seem almost too delicate to support even her slender frame, and when she gets closer you realize with surprise that they are too frail, and that her body is kept upright by some mysterious, magical force. Now you can make out a shining, rainbow-hued horn spiraling from her forehead, and around it an ornament - a strange design crafted from silver and with pink gems dangling at three corners. The mare bowed slightly as she approached you. "Greetings, visitor," she said, her clear, sweet voice sounding like it belonged in an angels' choir. "I see you've stumbled upon my forest home." She paused for a moment, surveying you calmly with her enchanting pink eyes. "I am Amaranth Dream," she continued, "or Amara for the sake of convenience. Come, this is no position for conversation; let's find somewhere more comfortable." With a smile still hovering over her facade, the mare turned and began leading you away in that smooth, effortless gait, towards the rocks she had been reclining on. You sit down on a smooth, sun-warmed stone, as Amara stands a little ways off. But an unexplainable curiosity creeps over you; although she had introduced herself and seemed to be rather friendly, you don't know anything about her except that. Seeing the look on your face, Amara smiles slightly, as though she had been expecting this. "You are curious, perhaps, at who I am and what I am doing here, correct?" she asks you almost amusedly. You confirm her guess, and she nods slightly in understanding with a "Very well", falling quiet for a few moments. Finally, she looks up again and begins to speak.

![]() This is Zafire, my pet Juma. The word 'Zafire' is derived from a name that means 'beautiful gem', and since Jumas are well known for their lovely, soft pelts I suppose that name fits her pretty well. Zafire is also rather playful, like others of her kind, and she makes a wonderful companion whenever I'm feeling down with gloomy weather or whatnot. She suffers a little bit from agoraphobia, or the fear of wide, open spaces, though, so I usually leave her in the forest whenever I travel. She's never failed to be waiting for me whenever I come back though!
