 Filua and Sciro get along suprisingly well, considering that he is a charming prince, and she an opinionated ball of sarcasm. The pair relish each other's unique wit and appreciation of the world around them, and often can hold a long conversation with only exchanged glances.  Nellai is a sweetheart and a half, and just the kind who falls head over heels for this charming lad. She is often found only a few paces behind Sciro, and is overjoyed when he is willing, or patient, enough to listen to her long, rambling tales.  Savij, on the other hand, does not succomb to Sciro's deep green eyes or playful wit. He has little patience for the lad's enthusiasm for life and adventure, though he does respect him for his intelligent schemes and well-analysed decisions. 
Nok is a mystery to everyone - and Sciro is no exception! While he may be patient and intelligent, it is no where near enough to cope with the endless bouts of 'logic' which Nok seems to so enjoy spilling out. Despite this, Sciro respects him for his unique perceptions - and the fact that if he did not, Nok could read his mind and find out.
Everyone makes mistakes, though rarely are they as malevolent and unforgiveable as Lastrond's. A voodooist and power-hungry, his desire to please his evil 'superiors' turned disasterous when he reached a terrifying peak of success with victims the higher ones wanted 'dealt with'. Now plagued by guilt and remorse, he lives in constant fear of Karma acting out - and can not silence the voices of victims in his head.
 Always quick to crack a joke or dive headfirst into a pond, Safaah is the most light-hearted and playful of her sisters. She is just as quick to laugh as herself as anyone else, though she often gets herself into trouble for it. Her jocular spirit also usually results in her missing the point of certain tasks and she is rarely ever punctual (much to Tiyrra's annoyance). 
Tiyrra was blessed with the ability to see the aesthetic beauty in the world around - including in herself. She delights in sitting for hours watching the sun set or the waves lap against the shore; providing, of course, that the wind ruffles her coat in only the most flattering of manners and the shade of the lush grass below compliments her eyes.
 She knows what she wants, and will go to any means necessary to ensure that she gets it... Ruthless and determined, Laneicse has a steady hand in power over the neglected slums she lives in. Unfortunately for those around her she also harbours a keen will to fulfil her dream of being a 'beauty queen'. 
Fiori was born with the power to heal, though to do this she needs to pull 'life' from the surrounding environment. Confused and disturbed by the outcomes of her bad decisions related to this power in the past, and never really knows how to behave in social situations. As a result of this she has become twisted and disoriented - somewhat 'bipolar'. One can only hope that new friends can help guide her onto a brighter path.
 Aly is a beautiful, royal mare whom Sciro first met in his escape from his family and court. She is a sweet and clever soul, with a good grasp on magic. Although they both have yet to admit it, it is obvious how the pair feel about each other... Art and Sciro may not have known each other as long as some of his other friends, but from their first glance Sciro knew they would become firm friends. Art's teasing wit and mysterious past entice Sciro to learn as much about her as he can.
