Story&&;

A zafara stood silently by a desk, rubbing his head.
It was bruising, not all that surprising considering he had just slammed it continuous times against one of the metal ornaments close by.
He looked rather standard, and odd version of a camo zafara. Although he looked plain, he seemed to hold some sort of status here.

He remembered the last sentence to meet his ears, about 10 minutes ago.
We can continue this discussion in a few minutes, Kato. she had said. But where was she now? She was taking an awfully long time. Although it was not a subject he wanted to discuss, he had brought it upon himself after blurting out a statement.
He sat down on the desk, her odd words ringing in his mind. What had she meant? She was seen as a hero to these people, and yet... She made it almost seem as if she was no longer important.

You puzzle me. Ignoring your order to return to Tokyo, so you can remain in this type of place...
N-no, that's not it... I'm just researching that forbidden magic that sage was dabbling with...
Research? she had asked, All you do is hang around me and run around doing errands.
W-what, n-no, I'm just...
Hm...She had murmured, You're protecting me, right?
H-huh?! He had choked, caught off guard by her observation.
I appreciate it. She said, pausing for a moment and looking away, Now that this place is under their control, I'm just a loud, whimsical attack dog to the higher-ups. Someone else will be sent in my place, soon...

Suddenly the halls echoed with the sound of gunshots, followed by a loud thud. The sound had snapped his out of his thoughts.
He paused, looking to the door. Hearing no rushing, his heart nearly stopped. Why was no-one checking that ou--- Oh, oh no...
He quickly darted out of the door, pushing one of the lower ranked soldiers right over.
Why did this building have to have stairs? Kato nearly tumbled down them.
Reaching the bottom of them, the only thing that met his eyes filled his with despair.
Yoshiko was lying on her stomach, breathing heavily, as if the air around her would be the last should would ever taste.
And sadly, it would be. Blood was pooling on the ground from her body, several bullet wounds through her chest. Blood was seeping from the side of her mouth, and her hands held on firmly to the ground, trying find relief from the pain.
Kato rushed over to her, kneeling down beside her.
Gently, he turned her over and lifting her up slightly so she was resting on his arms.
His eyes teared, seeing the condition she was in. Her chest was covered in blood, the fur and skin ripped away where the bullets had hit, and all that could be seen was the blood rushing from the openings.
Lieutenant Colonel! Hang on!! He called, not knowing is she would be able to hear him, Lieutenant Colonel!
She gave a slight chuckle, the blood continuing to pour from her mouth as she did so, It would appear my father has truly abandoned me... She said faintly. Yet I knew deep down...
Just hang on, we'll get help for you...!He seemed to beg.
I guess I had all of this coming... She stated with a slight smile, The last fitting gear...
Her eyes closed and opened a few more times, which her hand twitched, no longer having anything to hold onto.
Kato shook her,
Lieutenant Colonel! Hang in there!
She shook her head, closing her eyes one again, Kato... She began,
Thanks... For... Everything...
She offered no further movement or breathing. Kato felt his heart sink, the tears dripping from his eyes and staining his cheeks.
He yelled at the top of his lungs, questioning.
...Why do these things happen to good people...?
...Could you have called Yoshiko a good person?...

---Big chunk of story missing here xD---

I CAN'T believe it. I leave him with you for a month and you wind up dead!
Uhg. Who's there? Yoshiko asked wearily, slowly opening her eyes. Sheering pain ripped over her chest, causing her to clutch at it and quickly clench her eyes shut again, Ack...!!
Slowly she opened her eyes once again, looking up.
Someone familiar met her eyes. A male Zafara, probably just a little older than herself. His pelt was a black, a rich colour of brown on his face, chest, legs and arms. Some sort of golden material ornament over one side of his chest.
Suketani...?
Oh come on, Yoshiko, we're dead. You don't have to call me that anymore. Besides, it's not as if we don't use first names outside of the military.
Yoshiko huffed, seeming annoyed. Alright, Ken. I'm guessing I'm dead?
Correct.Ken' said, I would expect no lesser guess from the great. Yes, We're both dead. Mostly.
What exactly do you mean by that? Yoshiko asked, lying down on the invisible ground, resting on her stomach. Once again she closed her eyes.
Well, I'M dead. You, my dear Yoshiko, seem to have one temper that doesn't want to die. Ken explained.
... Yoshiko was silent for a few moments.
You're still pretty angry. Ken stated, Even I know that. I would be to. To be pushed aside like that, all because of that little twit. There was no way that adopted girl could ever replace you, yet your father just forgot about you. Let you die. Didn't even try to stop your de---
Is this going anywhere? Yoshiko asked calmly, her eyes flashing open.
Ken smiled smugly. Sorry Yoshiko. He apologized, I just don't want you hanging around here when there's a lot more you could be doing.
Yoshiko scoffed and pointed at her bullet riddled chest.
I don't exactly think the world would take too kindly to seeing anyone like this. Ken, I'm all for fighting until the end, but I'm pretty sure I can't do much.
Trust me Yoshiko, Ken said, Just give it some time. When it stops hurting you'll be able to go back.
Go back dead? She asked.
Not quite dead. As a ghost, as you'd imagine. Though I think you'd have more freedom than a standard one. Or less, depending on how you look at it.
... You have a lot to explain.
Haha, we'll be here for awhile...
It would appear I have all the time in the world.

-Chunk Missing again xD.-

No way... Kato muttered, looking down at his paws, I'm... I'm losing it.
Yoshiko huffed, taking a few steps closer. Kato. She warned, the sternness still in her voice. Listen to me.
He looked over his shoulder, eyes with tears. He stared at her for a few seconds. Why do my dreams hate me?
Yoshiko took a few more steps forward, standing right in front of the whimpering Kato who had turned to face her.

SLAP!

Yoshiko put her hands on her hips and watched as Kato put his hand to his red cheek.
...
Her tail flicked as she waited, not knowing how long it would take for realisation to hit him.
... You're alive!!
An awkward silence passed for a few moments until Yoshiko went to say something.
Just before she could get a word out, Kato jumped forward, clinging onto her in the oh so fashionable glomp style.
You're alive...!! He repeated once again.
Yoshiko was taken aback, nearly falling over backwards. Darn man had a very strong grip.
Not... Quite. She stated, finally having regained her train of thought.
What are you talking about?! He asked,
You're right HERE, I mean, I can touch you! You're breathing, you're talking--- You're... Bleeding?
Yes, that is quite odd... I think Ken might have been a bit stingy with my abilities. She said, putting her hands on his shoulders and trying to push him off.
She looked down at her chest, having realised Kato's last statement. That doesn't look like it's going to stop any time soon.
Kato just stared at her for a few moments, which she in turned looked at the bad condition of the room. Town up papers, battered walls, broken glass and charred ashes.
And of course, the one book on the floor, surrounded by symbols drawn down painstakingly with blood. If it was Kato's or from someone else, she couldn't tell.
She looked Kato straight in the eyes, causing him to flinch.
Her eyes were definitely still the same, strong and intimidating.
Tell me... She began, not breaking her somewhat glare, What is it that makes you want to do this?
W...What...? Kato asked slowly, not understanding.
Why is it, She continued, That you continue to follow a hound that's on their way to hell? ... Are you really that lost without someone to follow?
Kato fell silent for a moment, looking at the ground. He took a deep breath, but didn't look back up.
Don't you remember the last thing I said to you? He asked.
Yoshiko closed her eyes, trying to remember back. It didn't seem too long ago, even though it must have been a long while since her death, but only a few faint memories of the day remained in her mind.
I'm afraid I don't quite remember everything. I remember you saying something... About anyone being able to change. And something after that, something that seemed important... You slammed your head on the wall for it, but I can't seem to recall...
Kato quickly raised his hands up, waving in a motion to accompany his words, Don't worry about it! The last part was really nothing! Nothing at All, nothing Yoshiko!
Yoshiko opened her eyes and gave him a look that was a cross between a pout and a scowl.

-Still quite a bit missing ;_;!-

Family&&;
Yoshiko looks away from you and to Kato, who seems to instantly feel her dead eyes staring into him.
He turns to face her, and after a few silent second pass, Yoshiko pretty much throws her arm up from her side, pointing in a direction away.
Kato's -disallowed_word-Why yes, I did just get those off my playlist)
