welcome!

hi! i am the one and only betsy j., obsessed with all things cute and shiny! for that reason i opened lullabies, to show off my love for cute and shiny things. i hope you enjoy my site and pixels, and if you have any questions, comments, or comments please contact me through my lookup.

a princess and pink polka dots,
a fairy flapping her wings,
these are the things we used to dream,
why must they go away...
i would love to be locked in a dreamy castle,
and watch the days go by,
but while i'm still here, lullabies and candlelight's will have to do.

A Guide for Pixellers

Note, I do not normally type grammaticrally correct around the site, but since people will be reading this, I will.

These are common questions people ask themselves when pixelling. I answer them as if I really do not know what to do, so I hope they help.

What do I pixel that's original?
Thinking of things that you like and are original is hard. Lets face it, no one's that amazing. Try looking around you, for example some cool things to pixel around me would be glasses, mittens, a bouquet of flowers, and candles. Keep your mind open to ideas, and you'll eventually come up with something amazing.

How big should it be?
Pixels are generally small, if they get too big, people won't use them. Pixels are often used in update boxes, and update boxes don't usually have that much room, so keep your pixels around 50px wide, and less than 100px long.

How do I draw a pixel?
If you have a certain thing in mind, Google photos of it, photos of the thing in real life will help you picture how the pixel should look.

Should I make different colors of the same pixel?
You shouldn't if the pixel is a rainbow, or something that doesn't come in different colors, but you should if it is a thing that makes sense to some in different colors, like a teapot for example.

When you're stuck pixelling, and want something fresh to put on your site, I always go to guides. I have gathered some good guides that show you how to pixel in different techniques, I would encourage you not to follow the guides too much, but to look at each guides individual ideas and see how you can do that with your site.

I had trouble finding a good name for this pixel site, but I found somethings that a good name should have.

Cuteness is everything!
Nobody, want's to go to a pixel site named "darkfairy1234's pixel" that's boring! Something cute like Sugarrush will grab much more attention.

Avoid naming sites after random items!
What I mean is names like "Waffle" or "Lamp" are unacceptable! You will never get any views. Some names that are okay and are somewhat acceptable are "Daisy" or "Hilltops" but are not the best names in the world.

Do not include your username!
Nobody wants to go to a site with a boring name, a name is the first thing a visitor will see of your site, so you don't want to have a bad first impression.
