Once upon a time, a happy family of unis lived in the village of Meridell. The couple had one child by the name of Crian. He was an adorable little colt with unlimited amounts of hope. Nothing could damper his spirits.

One fine autumn day, the colt's parents told him they were going out for a walk. It was Crian's first time being left alone, and he was glad for a chance to prove himself.

Long hours passed. His parents didn't return home. Deciding that they were just taking their time, the little colt settled down for the night.

Each day passed like the one before. The little colt didn't lose hope, even after being forced from his home and made to live on the streets. He resorted to stealing to try and survive, but after awhile, he found himself too weak to keep it up. And so, nearly a year after his parents mysterious dissappearance, the little Colt slipped away in his sleep, still with the undying hope that his parents would soon come home.

Sometimes, in the dead of night, citizens of meridell have claimed to see a young, hornless uni colt standing in the alleyways. They say he seems to be waiting for something...
