Hm, sounds very formal, doesn't it? Well, anyway, every page needs an introduction or you'd be quite lost. This is my little page because, for some reason, we make ourselves pages about whatever, but usually ourselves. I call my page Lunaresque. Lunar means "Of, involving, caused by, or affecting the moon" while the ending of -esque means "In the manner of; resembling". Somehow this stuff will all be connected to the moon, short of the adoptables, which are well-liked anyway.

You probably want to know who this crazy acara is that is talking to you, so...



I'm gonna make this as non-complicated/long as possible. Well, there's a good picture of me right above you, so if you don't know what I look like than you're blind. If so, please ask the person closest to you to give you a nice description of me.

You are probably wondering about the look. Well, one day I got bored and mixed a slightly discolored split paint brush with a striped one, and blue is my original color, so, when I did an incredibly bad paint job on myself I ended up looking like this. And I like the look, so don't try to convince me to change it. You may call that being stubborn, but I call it being an individual. My 'mane', as it's called, well, I'm not sure how to explain that one. The eye makeup was inspired by the pets on Mystery Island I see all the time. The necklace was given to me by my owner who I simply refer to as Mom.

I'm your average 4 year old acara, although technically I'm over 1200 days old. 14 in acara years, right? Whatever, I'm sorta old, sorta young. But what does age have to do with what someone is like, really? Some of the oldest carbon-based lifeforms can act so young and childish, and that may not even be a bad thing. I'll admit I have matured a little, but only in how much I know. My intelligence might be 41, but a high IQ doesn't necessarily make you smart. At least, I don't think so.
Well, I know I'm not very mature, even for my age. I like to go around and hide in bushes or stay and the edge of mystery forest and scare people :D You just count the 3 and jump out, saying "HUZZAH!", it's great! This planet has so many people and pets on it, you scare new people everyday. And you can also throw cornballs at whoever you really hate. I also like to hang out with the Ghost Lupe, believe it or not. As for other friends, I like mainly acaras, because, after all, we are the best. ^-^ -innocent smile- I love to swim as most my kind do and look for anything shiny, such as NP and battledome items.

My family, with brief descriptions.

Fluffy:. My best friend. We have quite a history. For years we were nearly opposites, and very competitive, ardent for success. Lately we've teamed up for some mischievous adventures.

Purple_Articuno :. She is very quiet but very brave, and, even though she is small, has the ability to order others around easily. She is extremely convincing and commanding when she needs to be. to others she may seem cold and distant, but we know she can be kind and friendly when those who surround her are close to her.

Nelli:. Nelli is one troubled human, but I have faith she'll get out of it soon. We are constantly teaching each other, and I've learned from the best.


I do not know, or rather remember, how I got my name. What I do know is that it is a lovely one, and my previous owner must have been one of eloquence. The phrase "Once in a blue moon..." is quite common amongst humans, so you should know the meaning. Something rare, or almost unheard of. So naturally, my name reflects this. I am forever a rarity, an eccentricity, and there is no doubt about that.

As for real blue moons, there are several explanations. A Blue Moon is the second full moon in a calendar month on whatever planet you happen to be on. Human term, of course, it isn't logical. Why not? They generally are not blue, more often being red, white, silvery grey, or whatever colors moons normally are.

However, on certain occasions, they are blue, sometimes a blue-green. Let us say, in theory, that a certain volcano suddenly erupted, causing plumes of ash to rise into Neopia's atmosphere. From far away Kreludor appears to be glowing because of nearby stars. Some of the clouds would be filled with very small particles, the right size to scatter red light, while allowing other colors to pass. White moonbeams shining through the clouds appear blue to us. This is because white light is made up of red, green, and blue light, and most of the red and some green cannot be seen because of the ash.

For more information about how light works, I'd suggest shopping for a book about physics or the theories of color.

Though perhaps the fact that I am interested in light just as much as I am in throwing cornballs at innocent families proves my first point- I am, forever, a blue moon.
I am obsessed with Moon items, I'll admit it. Here's pictures of all the items with the word "Moon" in them. Scroll your mouse over the pic to see the name of the item. ^^

Kreludor, Neopia's one and only moon (so far), itself obviosuly hasn't been explored very much. I remember looking through a telescope and seeing the orange blobs that are actually grundos and not knowing what in Neopia they were. Well, they weren't in Neopia, but that's besides the point. What Neopians have discovered is some pretty odd stuff, though. First off, a Neocola Machine. Mysterious and somewhat random, this strange machine is rumored to have a lot to do with doom and destruction. The words on the machine itself seem a little..er..doomish.."Drink it or perish!". Oh yeah, that's a real nice thing to put on a cola machine, lemme tell ya. There are also 3 shops, run by and basically for the orange grundos- Kreludan Homes, Cafe Kreludor, and Booktastic Books. Ok, so these places might not have the spiffyest names, but it doesn't mean they aren't worth visting. You can learn a lot about the grundos from just going to these places. :D Finally you'll find the Mine. If you thought the Neocola machine was strange, I'd really like the know what they have hidden in that mine.
