Mythic Activities

Hello, and welcome to Mythic's Activity Hub. Here you will find all sorts of fun activities to participate in! We have activities for Account Improvement, Creative based activities, and activities you can play in just for fun! Each activity has a flashing icon at the top next to the name, to let you know how often that particular activity is updated. Some of our activities are updated monthly, while others are updated weekly, and some are updated daily.

If you choose to participate in our activities, you will need to add a special section to your Portfolio page for your activity submissions. You are not obligated to participate in our activities, but you totally should! They are fun, and you can earn Pins & Medals for your participation. You will also earn points for your team. We will be checking Portfolios to monitor your activity for the Team Points. Each activity contains all information on Pins, Medals, and Team Points.

If you have any questions please contact either Melly or Anna.

Member Hosted Activities

One of the perks of being a member of Mythic is that even though you may not be on Council or Sub Council, you can still host activities. If you are interested in hosting your own activity, please contact Melly or Anna.

You may design your own Pins for your activity, but you may not offer Team Points, or Medals. Please be sure to use the standard size and border that our other Pins share. If you would like help with your Pins, contact Melly.

The Nursery -

Welcome to The Nursery

In the Mythic nursery lives a small Aisha named Madeleine. Madeleine is a very sweet girl, but sometimes she becomes emotional when it comes to those she cares for a lot. She is very attached to each member of Mythic, and wants to see them reach all their goals. Madeleine can be pushy when she is trying to help, and she isn't above crying to get her way.

Madeleine's most favorite thing is stamp collecting. She loves looking through all the stamp albums, and gets very excited over the colorful collections. Sometimes, she wants to see a specific stamp, and will cry until someone shows it to her.

Some may think that the little Aisha is just being spoiled, but she has an ulterior motive for all the tears. Madeleine knows by crying she will help the Mythic members fill up their Stamp Albums, and improve their accounts. Plus, she will get to see all the pretty stamps. YaY!

Game Instructions

To participate, simply check this page daily! Madeleine will ask to see stamps at randomly, sometimes even multiple times. When she wants to see a specific stamp, the stamp image will appear in the thought bubble next to her head in the picture above. Once you show her the stamp she is thinking of the thought bubble will return to the heart.

When you have added the stamp to your album, please message Melly, so she can add your Team Points to the chart.

For each stamp you show Madeleine, you will receive 10 team points.

Have you always wanted to earn the Kad Avatar and Trophy, but haven't found the motivation to do so? Well, here's one more reason to try for it. Mythic is now offering an activity devoted to helping our members reach that goal.

Above you see a chart. This chart will help us keep track of all the Kads you have fed, and the points you earn from feeding. There are a few different way to to earn points with this activity. You will earn a point for each kad you feed, plus there are bonus points for completing specific challenges. Below you will see a chart containing point amounts for these challenges.

We will be playing Kadfest on the guild message board. A council member will start the board, and they will keep time. This activity will be held at random, unless otherwise specified by a council member.

To sign up, message Melly, and let her know you wish to participate in the activity. In the message, please include the amount of Kads you have already fed, and you will be added to the chart.

After that, each time we play you can simply post in a message on the guild board when you have fed a kad during our activity. If you complete any of the challenges, please include which challenge you completed, so the proper amount of points can be added to the Point Chart.

That's it! I hope this activity helps each of you earn the Kad avatar/Trophy, or just helps you earn more Team Points.

Good luck!

You can also earn Guild Pins for the activity. You can check those out. HERE!

Above is a chart that contains 4 different bettors, and links to each person's betting page. For this activity you will look over all the bets, and choose which set of bets you think will win.

You will also see a place that says "Other Bettors". This category is for anyone that uses bets from someone other than the main 4 Bettors, or prefers to create your own bets.

If you win more than 250K from any one of the bettors, message Melly, and you will be awarded 25 Team Points.

Be sure to visit the Pin Directory to see what Pins we offer for this activity.

HSD Battles -

One part of Account Improvement is battling. Sometimes, TNT hosts events that require us to band together to take down villains, and to do this, our pets need to be strong. Training is an important part of the equation, but can be costly, and take a long time.

I would like to encourage you to train your pets not only for TNT events, but also for upcoming Mythic Events.

To participate in this activity, on the 1st day of each month, I would like you to send me the name, and HSD for your battle pet. After that, send in your new HSD every Saturday, and on the last day of each month, send in your pet's final total for the month.

To find out what your pet's HSD is: Add up their Hit Points, Strength Points, & Defense Points.

I will add all your information to the chart below, and the top 3 Trainers will receive rewards.

Rewards for training are:

1st Place - 50 Team Points & a Red Codestone
2nd Place - 25 Team Points & a Tan Codestone
3rd Place - 20 Team Points & a Tan Codestone

All other participants will receive 10 Team Points.

In the future, there will also be Guild Pins for this activity.

Send your information, HERE.

  • 9. Jeweled Scarab Stamp
  • 10. Kings Lens Stamp
  • 11. Chocolate Factory Stamp
  • 12. Tazzalor Stamp
  • 13. Kreai Stamp
  • Instructions

Risk is a lot like Blackjack, but instead of playing against the "house", you play against each other, and the cards being used are decorated with stamps you will add to your stamp album.

To play, add each stamp located above to your Stamp Album. You can add these anytime before the game begins, but please do so in advance so it doesn't take up game time.

You will notice each card has been given a number at the top, and values at the bottom. The numbers at the top will be used during rolls, and the number at the bottom will be used towards point values each stamp is worth.

I will use a random number generator to "deal" your cards.

EXAMPLE: You will automatically be dealt a card. For this example that card is #4 - Pile Of Dung Stamp Card. The value of that card is also 4.

The object of the game is to get as close to 21 points as you can.

You opponent is dealt #9 - Jeweled Scarab Stamp Card. The point value of that stamp is 9.

You have to decide if you want to be dealt any more cards. If so, the game host will use the random number generator to figure out what your next card will be.

In this example your next card dealt is #7 - Faerie Bubbles Stamp Card.

Now your Point total is 11.

At this point, you just keep going until you either reach 21 Points, you decide you don't want to try for any more points, or you bust.

Your opponent is trying to get to 21 before you. If he or she does, you will lose the round, and forfeit any points accumulated within that specific round.

You opponent will be allowed to keep any points he/she received in that round. Those points will be added to his/her Team Point Total.

This game will last 5 rounds.

The stamp cards we play with will change every few weeks. Check back before each game to make sure you have the right stamps added to your Stamp Album.

The player with the most Points at the end will receive a Diamond Medal, a Pin, and all points accumulated by him/her.

Second place wins a Gold Medal, a Pin, and all points accumulated by him/her.

Third place wins a Silver Medal, a Pin, and all points accumulated by him/her.

Everyone else will receive a Bronze Medal, all points accumulated by him/her, and a Participation Pin.

The Risk Host earns 2 Team Points per game hosted.

*Note: No one is required to participate in this game, or to add stamps to his/her Stamp Albums. This activity is merely an incentive to do so.

No one is being given any stamps for participating in this activity. Players only receive Team Points, Medals, and Pins created by Guild Council.

    Guild Activities

    Sleuth -

Oh, no! Someone broke into the Mythic Guild Headquarters and stole the Championship Cup! Who would have done such a thing? I guess we will have to call in the M.I.G. to figure it out!

    Game Instructions

The M.I.G, better known as the Mythic Investigative Group, are a special trained group of citizens that help solve crimes around Neopia. You are one of the top M.I.G. investigators trying to figure out who stole the Championship Cup, and return it to the guild.

The Captain of the M.I.G has already given you a Suspect list. Your job is to figure out which suspect planned the heist, who their accomplice is, and where they have hidden the Championship Cup. You will solve the crime using the process of elimination.

To play, save the Game Card to your computer. You can open it in Paint, or some other art program, and use it to keep track of the clues you are given. This game is played on the Game Chat message board. A board will be made, and everyone in Mythic will be invited to play. Once there, send a message letting the game host know you are playing.

In order of which member posted first, each person will select a number between 1 and 30. The number you choose will correlate with which clue you receive. When you receive the clue or clues, you can mark on your game card. Some numbers will contain more than 1 clue. All clues will be sent through neomail, and may not be shared with other members. Some clues may be repeat clues you have already received.

EXAMPLE: Anna may select number 19 for her clue. That number provides 3 different clues. A suspect, location, and accomplice. She will then mark all 3 of her clues down on her game card.

Once you think you know who the thieves are, and where they hid the Cup, you may guess, but only during your turn. If you guess wrong, you are "Fired", and eliminated from the game.

However there is one free pass hidden amongst the numbers in the game. The free pass allows you to make a guess, and even if it is wrong, you may remain in the game. This pass may only be used once per game. You may also use this pass to save one of your "Coworkers" from being fired.

The winner of the game will receive a Pin for their Portfolio, and 100 Team Points. All other participants will receive a Participation Pin, and 10 Team Points.

Please visit the Pin Directory to see what other Pins we offer for this activity.

    Avatar Simon -

Avatar Simon is a fun game that we will play either in guild chat, or on the message boards as a recruiting activity. The host can choose where they host the game, and since it is a random activity, it can take place at any time!

The game consists of 10 rounds, and takes around an hour to play. When you arrive on the board, let the host know you are playing. Once the game begins, the host will change his/her avatar, and just like in Simon Says, everyone will change their avatars to match the host's. Everyone who makes a post wearing the matching avatar will receive a point. If you do not have the avatar you do not receive a point, but you may continue playing. The member with the most points at the end of the 10 rounds wins the game!

Please be sure to keep track of your point total, because every point you receive will earn you a Team Point. Each round is worth 1 point. At the end of the game, simply post how many points you earned.

All players will also receive a Participation Pin. The winner will receive a Pin, and an extra 10 Team Points. The host earns 5 Team Points per game hosted.

Everyone loves Painting their pets, but sometimes we want something different than we are offered. This activity is your chance to design a new Paint Brush prototype.

I will give you an idea for a new Paint Brush, and you design what you think it should look like, along with what a pet would look like using it. Your dimensions for the picture of the brush should fit the Neopet standard size.

Draw your Pet, and add the paint brush you designed in the upper left corner of the image.

It should look something like this:

When you have completed your prototype, add it to your Portfolio, or a pet page, and send the link, HERE.

The days are long and brutal here at the Mythic Pin Factory. Foreman Defuel runs a tight ship, and expects perfection. Defuel gives out a list of words the Factory needs turned into Pins for the Mythic guild. The pins must be made according to exact specifications, or you won't receive your monthly Team Points. However, if you excel at your task, you will be rewarded nicely. Mail Melly with a link to your submissions.

This is a composite list of pins that still need to be made for the guild. The list will change periodically so if you see something from this list you wish to make, Let Melly know, so it can be crossed off the list.

All Pins must use a specific border and font. Use the following border and font to complete your task. Right click and save the border to your computer.

This image is 55 x 55 pixels, and contains an inner and outer border. The outer color is 1 pixel, and is black in color. Although you cannot see it on this background, there is also a 1 pixel inner white border that is set at 50% transparency. You may change the color of the black border, but the white part must stay white, and remain at 50% transparency.

The font that we use for our Pins is called Wendy. The size should be set at 10 pixels. No bold is needed. If you do not have this font you can get it for free at most Font sites. Please be sure to create a 1 pixel border around the font so that it shows up well on the pin.

You may choose whatever background image you would like to use for each pin. Please make sure it is not blurry, and that it looks nice. Dr. Sloth's Neopets Image Emporium is a great place to find images for your Pins.

You are free to animate the pin however you like. Creating a Pin is exactly like creating a button. Below are some good tutorials on how to create and animate images.

    Cherry Blossom Tree

    Entry by - seluker406
A cool gust of wind passes through the flowers of the Cherry Blossom Trees, as soft grey clouds start to roll in from the east. It is the peak bloom, a magical moment passers want to be around for during the cherry blossom season. The peak bloom date is defined as the day when 70 percent of the trees surrounding the basin have opened their buds, creating an unforgettable sea of pink and white as the colors take over for a short period of time. The scenery is almost cliche, the grass short trimmed and a healthy green. Aside from the cloudy day, one could not picture a more perfect moment in time. You take out your pink polariod camera to snap the moment to preserve for a lifetime. You breath in, and *click*, out comes a small image developing right before your eyes... what a good day it has been.

    Entry by - seluker406
A shallow nest is discovered under a small clearing of dead grass, it appears to be a bunnies nest. It is known not to disturb a bunnies nest as the mother only returns to the nest twice a day, once in the morning and night to check on her babies. Our wanderer decides to leave the nest as is, only returning to make sure the babies are not motherless. Upon returning the next morning, as the dew starts to dissipate, he notices there are no new tracks showing the mother's return last night, and there is only one bunny left in the nest. The wanderer decides to take the bunny fearing for its safety. Into a soft pocket of his bag the bunny is tucked into and falls asleep. Once the bunny wakes up looking at her savior, her eyes fill with comfort. She nibbles on the stem of a sunflower. The wanderer pets the bunnies soft head and says, "What ever will I do with you, my Spring Snowbunny, our adventure will start here"

But the edges of its gemstones,
    Brightening its every horizon.
    Feasting upon its royalty,
Sits atop a pedestal like none other
    With watchful eye, it gleams.
    A golden negg.

    Oh, spring snowbunny,
How you pounce upon the rich earthen soil,
Leaving your tracks for the curious to pursue.
    You wear your flower crown,
    And then you run around,
    Seeking the meadowlands long yearned.

    One, two, three,
    The fire bubbles and broils.
The warm wisps of a chemist's eye
As the smoke clears at last.
The result is a dazzling smile to behold --
    A glowing pebble potion --
    A sight to see,
As it leads to something more.

The fields of pink calls of spring.
A sweet mist envelopes the air
And sets loose the picnic grounds.
A petal that brushes against the cheek,
A memory made, beneath the cloudless skies.
Oh, dear blue, what comes next?
Oh, dear pink, will you forever remain?
You ponder, beneath the cherry blossom tree.

    Character Development

Oh well hello there! My name is Anniette and I do have to apologize for the long wait. I've been stuck at the Pin Factory with Defuel all month long but now I am ready to host my own show here! You are here because you would like to develop your pets into full fledged characters correct?

Well, I shall do the best that I can in explaining everything I know! There are 10 basic steps we will go through and this activity is all at your own pace. There are no time limits or requirements for this activity either. For special parts of this activity you can earn a pin. Exciting right? Now, let's begin shall we!

I am one of Anna's longest running character ideas on neopets and that is really all it takes to start, an idea. Something to start off thinking about is, what sort of character do you want to have? A tip to start is - think about what sorts of interests, hobbies, or goals you personally have. Maybe you are a fan of outdoor activities, the steampunk theme, you like to cook, or you like hoard bottle caps - anything is a good starting point. There are many great character development charts to get your brain juices flowing, these are especially good for people who have multiple ideas.

Oh wait is this, a note? Maybe you should take it and fill it out. I'm sure this would be a good starting point for your character development!

Step 1: Brainstorming- Fill out this character chart.

You don't have to answer all of the questions on that image, you can jot your notes down on a piece of papers or even a word pad. Now that you have had some time to get your thoughts together, we can start sketching out ideas for your character. Most character pages have some art in one form or another. Does it mean you have to have a lot, or really any at all? No, but it's just a nice addition to your page that really elevates the design. Also, will put a face to the character you have been brewing in your head. I mean after all, if you have made it this far you already at least an idea of what you want your character to look like, am I right!

Now for Step 2: Choose your Characters Form - Anthro, Human, or Quad?

The human form is pretty self explanatory, it is a human form of your neopet, but this doesn't limit any cool features you want to add! Humans with scales? We can do that! Humans with tails or wings, totally awesome. There are no limits to what you character can look like. Many people on neopets have an "Anthro" version of their neopets. Anthropomorphism is Anthro for short, and literally just means "Human Like." Blumaroos are a great example of Anthro characters. The last form pretty common on neopets is Quad. This form is more for pets/characters who have four legs. Such as Kougras and Poogles. But there is no rule to how many forms your character can have! Aisha's are a good example that people might have all 3 for!

Step 3: Find Layout for Page
Now that we have been thinking a little deeper into your character ideas, its time to pick out a layout for your character page! Now I am warning you now, this could take some time, but I am here to help you. Somethings to keep in mind when you are looking for the perfect layout is how lengthy do you want your page. If you are more of a writer and would like a long story for others to read, maybe a scrolling layout would be good for you. If you are leaning towards simpler ideas, maybe an anchored page would be better for you. Here are a couple of Anna's character to give you ideas of the potential for layouts.

Here are some awesome premade sites that offer character layouts, designed specifically for this purpose. Do keep in mind though, any layout is a good layout for character's, some just take more editing than others!

    Step 4: Sketch!

Great, we have found the perfect layout for your character's page, now you need to start filling it in with your content. Let's get out those handy dandy tablets or sketch books and start to bring your character to life. For best reference, you should have out the character chart you filled in from Step 1 , and think about the forms from Step 2! Keep in mind these are just sketches - they are not expected to be full-fledged character the first time you draw them. You should have seen Anna's first sketches of me, *giggles*. Well of course this is not me, this is actually Scribbuls, our wonderful page host! Once you have spent a little bit of time working on building your character's look, send Anna a message so she can check your progress! Once you have done that we can move on to step #5. We are halfway there!

Step 5: A companion for your Character!

Something you can incorporate into your Character's page is a companion. Otherwise known on neopets as a petpet. It's a nice addition to your Character's story and can really tie in all these nice elements we have been working on. This step can cost you a pretty penny, but it does not have to at all. There are a variety of cheap petpets and p3's all around to buy. You do not have to give your pet a petpet or p3, but for those who choose to give their neopets a companion, might earn a special pin I heard. My petpet's name is Spoily, I will not bore you to death with the details of this little guys story, but he is the last machine of his kind and needs special care. You Character's petpet doesn't have to have a story to go along with their friendship at all. In fact, a lot of people buy petpet's just for the sole fact they match their pets color. You can do that too! Once you have decided on what petpet belongs in your story/page or if you decide you don't want to participate in this step, you can move on to step 7!

    Step 6: Drafting the Story

Now that we have spent some times sketching, thinking about our Character's companions its time to solidify our thoughts into writing. This step will take some time, and like all good projects, it will never feel finished! Lets begin with the history of our character. Do we want to dive into the history of town your character lives, or maybe you want to start with their birth? Either way is completely up to you as the Author! My story jumps right into a heist mission, so a little bit of action to captivate the reader. One thing to keep in mind as well is, the perspective of your story. Are we first person reading from the perspective on the character or 3rd person? Are we mixing it up or speaking only in the past tense? There is no right or wrong way to start or end your story, but something to keep in mind if your flow. The 5 stages of story structure are -

    Exposition: Setting the scene.
    Rising action: Building the tension.
    Climax: The exciting bit.
Falling action: Tidying up loose ends.
    Resolution: Ending the story.

    Step 7: Create an environment.

An important aspect of Character building is deciding on an environment for your character. Where does your character live? What type of work does he/she do? Is your character a pirate sailing the high seas hunting for treasure? If so, you want the environment to match.

Another approach may be to put your character in an environment that is unlike the character, and make it a fish out of water type of situation. There are no wrong moves when creating an environment for your character.

Think about places your character may go, beings he/she may encounter, favorite items he/she may possess, the work environment, home life, and anything surrounding your character. Does he/she have a luxurious tree house? Perhaps your character has a special herb garden from which he/she grows ingredients for magic potions. Did your character discover a secret cave filled with precious crystals?

You don't have to have everything figured out all at once. In the beginning, you may want to create something basic, like where they live, and build onto that as you get to know your character better. Once you have the basics down, you can add more detail.

Basic Example: Your character lives in Brightvale.

More Detail: Your character lives in an abandoned shack along the edge of the woods in Brightvale.

Even More Detail: You character lives in an abandoned shack along the edge of the woods in Brightvale, where he/she conducts secret rituals. Maybe the inside is filled with spell books on old wooden shelves, and an alter with candles and dried flowers. On the floor is a circle with a star in it, signifying the use of magic.

Slowly build up the details, and you will eventually have a well thought out environment.

    Step 8: Build Wardrobe

This is the best part! Picking out a wardrobe for your character is so much fun. Go to DTI, and choose some clothes, backgrounds, and other trinkets you think fits with your characters personality, save your outfits, and take screen captures of each one. Add these outfits to your character page, and dress your pet up! You don't have to have all the items in the beginning. Add the items to your pet's wardrobe when you are able to attain them.

Be sure the items fit with the characters personality, and surrounding environment.

Example: If your character is an archer you will want items that fit with that role. Things like nature backgrounds, bow and arrow, clothing that has a woodsy feel to it, foregrounds that belong in the outdoors like flowers, trees, etc.

Create as many looks as you want to help get a visual image of who your character is. Below is a link to Anna's lookbook with screenies of my best outfits!

Step 9: Spice up page! details, decor

Lets get some details and decor in here. There are some really nice fonts and header generators you can take full advantage of to get some aesthetics for your page. There are so many things you can do to decorate your character page, and make it look amazing. You can create banners, add special backgrounds, buttons, bullets, line dividers, and so on. There area lot of sites that have these items already premade. Below is a Directory that contains many sites that help with creation.

Click on the Creation link, and scroll down the list to see everything offered. Check out the sites, and get some ideas of what you might like to add to your page. Also, don't be afraid to look at other characters and draw inspiration from them. Just be sure not to copy their content.

Below are some really amazing character pages. Take a look at them, and notice all the details added.

    Visit the Flower Crown Ixi!

The esthetic of this page is pleasing to the eye, and it all flows well with the character's story. Use your character's environment to help choose your page decoration.

Example: Maybe your character is a faerie. For this you might choose a soft color scheme, a background that features billowy clouds, a banner with cursive writing, etc. Of course, this depends on the type of faerie your character is. It may be a dark faerie, in which case, soft colors probably wouldn't work...or would it? It's completely up to you to choose what you think works with your character.

    Step 10: Proofread and admire.

Awesome, you have made it to the last step. Just like with anything you work on, you want to take the extra time just to proofread and check it over for any mistakes. Just because you have made it to the end doesn't mean our work here is finished. Good art is never finished! And if you are feeling really adventurous there are many pet directories you can have your pets added to!
Here are a few but there are many more not listed here~
