The Forgotten

Intro

Welcome, visitor! You clearly came here searching for untaken names, right? Well, I sure hope so, because you won't find any shrines dedicated to Dr. Sloth here, nope.

I started The Forgotten est. April, 2013. For quite awhile I had planned on running my own untaken names site because I kept finding these great untaken names. I kept lists, a couple, in fact, and knew that one day I would release these lists to the Neopian public so they could find names for their beautiful new pets. Before I began posting the lists, I created a banner, featuring my main account's family of Xwees, and when I finally finished it after days of agonizing over the drawing, I found a layout I liked and began The Forgotten. I originally didn't have a name besides "Lily's Untaken Names," but since I prefer originality over boring, cookie-cutter, I thought about the "forgotten" words and names I was listing and decided to name my site "The Forgotten." I'm lucky the title came to me so quickly, because usually I'm awful with titles.

So, with story time over, I hope you enjoy all the names I have to offer, and I hope you find some lovely new names for your pets!

The Untaken Real Words of the Neopian World

Okay, so these words might not be ideal, but you may find some amusing enough to create. After going through the words again and reading their definitions, I, personally, also find great character potential in some of them. Just check it out; you'll see. ;)

Disclaimer: If you create a name, make sure to neomail me so I can take down the name. I cannot stress this enough. And although I plan on checking up on these names and words and other things that I've listed, I'd still like a heads-up that, "Oh, hey, yeah, I took that name. Thanks for listing it!" Simple enough, right? I really don't think I ask for much, people.

  • Untaken Place Names Beyond Neopia

Per suggestion, I decided to try this out. Since I wasn't sure if place names are considered RWs or RNs, here's "this whole other" category for them. (In quotes because Forrest Gump.)
As an extra note, though - allow me to address traders and PCers in specific who might think about using these: I, as a trader and PCer, do not recommend creating any of these place names for epic trading purposes, unless you plan to turn them all into Draiks and hike their HSD up to the high hundreds. I once had a 4L place name (village name) and zapped it into a Robo Skeith (that was the best I could get, okay, don't judge). I advertised mercilessly for weeks trying to get any offers at all, and I never had any interest. Eventually it zapped into an island Moehog (the place name was Indian, so, sorta fitting?), and still no interest (beside the poor zaps). So I finally ended up pounding. All anecdotes aside, place names do not tend to trade well unless they're commonly known places like China, Japan, India, Russia, etc. or maybe even Chicago, Springfield, or Seattle. I personally recommend these names only to those who are passionate about places/place names. Nonetheless, good luck to anyone who hopes to create these names for trading.

EVERYONE'S FAVORITE! Oh my gosh, untaken real names runaroundincirclesscreamingbecauseyoucan'tbelieveit! Yep, I just did that. But, hey, I know you know the feeling. Some of these names are quite strange, but there are others with great potential. Enjoy!

These names/words aren't necessarily words or names, but they're untaken. Do with them as you wish. Most, I've noticed, are misspellings. Also, seeing how most are misspellings, that means nearly all of them are based on real names/words.
Disclaimer: If you create a name, make sure to neomail me so I can take down the name. I cannot stress this enough. • 3/4/5Ls of Neopia - Untaken Style

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find many four or five letter names that are pronounceable, but I'm trying. I'll also add any three letters I get lucky and happen to find.

New: If I happen to find any untaken 3L names, I'll add them. Most, if not all, will likely be unprounceable. Just a warning.

  • Requests

Here you can request certain kinds of names or words that I'll look up and see if they're untaken. Just fill out the form and neomail it to me. In case you're confused, "origin" means the language or where the name/word came from. Like, if you like French words, say "French" or if you like British names, say "British/English." Also, "Max amount of letters" means how many letters, tops, the word or name can contain; like, if you must have three, four, or five letter names, say that. "Gender" typically means whether or not you want this pet name to be manly or girly - I know some people have a preference, so. "Un/Common" is asking whether or not you want a common or uncommon name/word.
NEW!: I updated the form to include what letter you would prefer the name(s) to start with. You don't have to choose only one letter that you prefer - it's perfectly acceptable to have a few letters that you'd prefer your name(s) to start with.
    Form:

    Word? Or name?:
    Origin:
    Max amount of letters:
    Gender:
    Un/Common:
    Preferred Starting Letter:
