Hi sandmaster1320 and welcome to my Bumble Beams guide! I hope that you find this guide informative and entertaining. More importantly I hope it will enable you to be a better player at Bumble Beams. Well on with the show!

Overview

There are 16 levels in the game. The levels are broken up into 3 stages: The Sorter, The Grinder, and The Incinerator which are easy, medium, and hard, respectively.

  • Level 1-6: The Sorter. Welcome to THE SORTER. This facility is brand-new; its rolling beams are steady and secure, so saving the lost Petpets should not be a problem for a seasoned rescuer like you. However, be aware that it's only going to get harder to save the Petpets from here, as the recycling machinery becomes more treacherous along the way...
  • Level 7-11: The Grinder. You are now entering THE GRINDER. Everything that enters this area is ground into a fine powder and eventually reused in the factories of Neopia. Please save as many Petpets as you can!
  • Level 12-16: The Incinerator. You've reached the last and most terrible area of the Recycling Centre. THE INCINERATOR is where everything that is not recyclable is burned down to ashes. The heat grows every minute, and your job will be made even more difficult by the panicking Petpets. They're now aware of the terrible danger they're in and are scrambling on the beams to save themselves. Sadly, it's a wasted effort. No lost Petpet has ever made it out of the Incinerator alive. With your help, these poor Petpets could be the first to escape!

Instructions

Oh no! Some Robot Petpets have stumbled into the Space Station's Recycling Centre and gotten lost!

  • If you don't guide them through the three treacherous rooms of the Recycling Centre, they'll winde up on the scrap heap and be melted down for sure!
  • Using the left and right arrows on your keyboard, tilt the beams to make the Petpets drop into the bins at the bottom of the screen.
  • Watch out for obstacles along the way, and be sure to aim the Petpets carefully. One false move and they'll be recycled!

Game Tips
General Tips

  • As always PRACTICE comes to mind as the first and foremost tip in every game. With each attempt you'll manage to hone your skills and be a Grand Master before you know it. Remember practice makes perfect!
  • Skip the sound. To turn off the sound click on the "speaker" in the lower left hand of the game. The speaker is visible after you click "Start Game." The sound is repetitive and can quickly become obnoxious. I prefer to start up my media player and listen to one of my favorite playlists. If you prefer complete silence that works too. Just do whatever works for you.
  • Yet another basic rule. Please take your time! There is no bonus score for completing the level the fastest. So don't rush yourself. Doing that might cause you to drop a few Petpets instead of putting them in the bins. Don't rush to get the Petpet to the last beam because if there isn't an open bin the Petpet can be difficult to balance for a long time. It's better to juggle a Petpet on a higher beam so if it falls off you can catch it. In addition if an empty bin appears on screen you can get it to the bottom fast and save the Petpet.
  • Be sure to take breaks from time to time. If you get frustrated just come back later when you're refreshed. The game has pauses between levels so use that time to stretch, grab a bite to eat, do some hw, etc. The game will always be there waiting for you if you need a short break so take advantage of that.
  • Can't figure out the perfect timing to drop the Petpets in the bin? Use the background as a marker or how far along the length of a beam the bin has passed. You'll be a pro in getting all the Petpets in the bins before you know it.
Advanced Tips
  • For one you can drop the Petpets off the left side and right side of the screen. As long as it lands in an empty bin it doesn't matter if you can see it or not! This takes perfect timing to do but can be the difference between advancing to the next level or not.
  • Dropping the Petpet in the exact center of each bin will give you a bonus of 10 points! You'll know you got the bonus because you'll see the x2 +5 icons pop up. So you'll effectively get 15 points per Petpet as opposed to 5. For example on the first level not getting the bonus would only net you a max high score of 72 points. Getting the bonus and all Petpets in the bin will get you a score of 172. That's an extra 100 points from the first level you'll be missing out on if you don't get the bonus! It really adds up with each subsequent level.
  • The wooden beam first found in level 4 will stay perfectly balanced! Have you wondered what the trick is or why you can't get it to balance all the time? Right before the Petpet lands on the wooden beam you need to be pressing the arrow key on the other side of the fulcrum. i.e. if your Petpet lands on the left of the fulcrum you need to be holding the right arrow down and vice versa if it lands on the right. You can hold the Petpet all day and the beam won't tilt in any direction. Be mindful that as soon as you let go of the arrow key the beam won't auto balance anymore! So if you're going to drop the Petpet in the bin you need to commit.
  • Avoid the "jack in the box" beams first found in level 5. It's the beam with a blinking light on it. Once you land on it you have a few seconds before the beam springs off the screen carrying your Petpet with it. When there are bonus stars on the beam wait until the bins have gotten across the screen. If the Petpet gets launched having 3 or 4 bins will increase your chances of catching the Petpet. Also anticipate your move before you land on the beam. If the Petpet is rolling off the side of the beam it will absorb less force and will help you keep your Petpet under control.
  • Another tip is to place the Petpets in alternating bins. The reason you do this is so you don't get them bunched up when they come around the second time. If you put 6 of them in bins back to back that's 6 bins you'll have to wait pass by until an open bin appears. Balancing a Petpet can be very tedious over that time period. On levels with wooden beams it's pretty much irrelevant but good to get in the habit of doing.

Scoring

Scoring is comprised of 3 parts primarily. First and foremost is the points you get for putting a Petpet in the bin. You'll receive 5 points for just getting the Petpet in the bin, or 15 if you drop the Petpet in the center of the bin. The next part is from bonus points available in the level. Bonus points consist of yellow stars, worth 3 points, or red stars, worth 10 points. The last part is an end of level bonus. Your end of level bonus is 1 point for every Petpet that you successfully rescue. After level 6 you'll see the Petpet icons and they are part of your end of level bonus too.

Level 1

Strategy: Get the Petpets to the lowest beam and then drop them off the left side as the bins pass by.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 10
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 5
  • Bonus Points Available: 12 (4 +3 Yellow Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 172

Level 2

Strategy: Get the Petpets to the lowest beam, either left or right, and then drop them off. I prefer to use the right beam so the bins pass by and you can just drop them in. Use what's comfortable though.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 10
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 5
  • Bonus Points Available: 12 (4 +3 Yellow Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 172

Level 3

Strategy: Again get the Petpets to the lowest beam. I drop them off the right side as the bins are headed towards the beam.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 10
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 8
  • Bonus Points Available: 13 (1 +3 Yellow Star and 1 +10 Red Star)
  • Perfect Score: 173

Level 4

Strategy: My second favorite level in the game. Just get the Petpet down to the wooden beam and use the balancing trick and wait for an empty bin to drop the Petpet into. You should be able to max this level with relative ease.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 15
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 8
  • Bonus Points Available: 12 (4 +3 Yellow Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 252

Level 5

Strategy: My favorite level because all you have to do is sit and wait once the Petpet is on the wooden beam. To get the +10 red star drop the Petpet from the blue beam to the red star and then to the wooden beam. If you do it quickly the "jack in the box" beam will have little to no effect on the Petpet. For the rest of the Petpets take your time and go down the stairs.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 15
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 10
  • Bonus Points Available: 19 (3 +3 Yellow Stars and 1 +10 Red Star)
  • Perfect Score: 259

Level 6

Strategy: Wait for the bins to reach the left side of the screen then clear the "jack in the box" beam. After that's been taken care of just drop the Petpets down the middle into the bins. Being able to balance Petpets and alternating bins are the keys to passing this level.

Since playing this level numerous times I try to drop the Petpets into each successive bin quickly. Since there are minimal beams it's easy to do and the level will be finished in no time. However if that pace is too fast take for you take your time and alternate bins.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 15
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 12
  • Bonus Points Available: 32 (4 +3 Yellow Stars and 2 +10 Red Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 273

Level 7

Strategy: This level is fairly simple. All you need to do is get the Petpets to the lowest beam on the left and drop them in the bins as they pass by. You should time going for the points on the right so the Petpet can drop into an open bin. Use the higher beams to balance the Petpets if there aren't any open bins on the screen.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 20
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 15
  • Bonus Points Available: 35 (5 +3 Yellow Stars 2 +10 Red Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 350

Level 8

Strategy: Another easy level. Clear the "jack in the box" beam first because it's just in the way. After that is accomplished the best position is to get the Petpets on the left wooden beam. Just roll the Petpet off the blue beam to the lower one and then flick it right to the wooden beam. If a Petpet lands on the small grey beam you can flick it to the left blue beam and then onto the wooden beam. With some practice it'll be second nature. Also if you failed to get the +10 red star on the right be patient. To get it you should use a large Petpet and roll it off the grey beam towards the red star. You will need to rock it back and forth on the grey beam and build up speed otherwise you won't reach it. Remember it's always better to pass the level than lose trying to get some bonus points.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 20
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 15
  • Bonus Points Available: 22 (4 +3 Yellow Stars 1 +10 Red Star)
  • Perfect Score: 345

Level 9

Strategy: Use the top wooden beam to hold your Petpets if you feel overwhelmed. You won't be able to do it all time since they appear on screen so fast but the break will be nice. Otherwise just stick to the left side of the screen and drop the Petpets in the bins. I use the lowest blue beam on the left side and roll them off to the right as the bins approach.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 20
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 18
  • Bonus Points Available: 19 (3 +3 Yellow Stars 1 +10 Red Star)
  • Perfect Score: 340

Level 10

Strategy: The trick to this level is rolling the Petpets off the top beam so that they clear the small grey beams and land on the inside of the wooden beam. Hold the Petpets there and then roll them onto the lowest beam so you can place them in an empty bin. Landing on the wooden beams takes practice so don't get frustrated the first time you try.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 25
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 20
  • Bonus Points Available: 22 (4 +3 Yellow Stars 1 +10 Red Star)
  • Perfect Score: 425

Level 11

Strategy: On this level clear the "jack in the box" beam as soon as possible. Once that's done all you do is drop the Petpets onto the blue beam and then onto the wooden beam. I prefer to use the left one and let the Petpets sit there until an empty bin passes underneath. Using that strategy you can take all the time you need. You might need to practice dropping the Petpets off the blue beam and not overshooting the wooden beam. Also be sure to collect as many of the bonus points as possible but don't sacrifice too many Petpets trying to get them all.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 25
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 22
  • Bonus Points Available: 48 (6 +3 Yellow Stars 3 +10 Red Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 448+

Level 12

Strategy: The Petpets physically fight you and move on their own from here on out. You just need to be patient and use the wooden beams to your advantage. You always want to try and roll the Petpets slowly off the top beam onto the lower ones. The goal is to have them land on the inside of the beam and then drop the Petpets in the bins. Remember there is no time limit so don't rush yourself. Also be sure to clear the "jack in the box" beam as soon as possible. This is quite possibly the hardest level in the game because u can't bring a wooden beam back up once it's not level.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 25
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 22
  • Bonus Points Available: 10 (1 +10 Red Star)
  • Perfect Score: 410

Level 13

Strategy: Another hard level but nowhere near impossible. Clear both "jack in the box" beams first. Once that's done you can roll the Petpets off the large center beam onto the small wooden beams. Once that's done you can wait all day for an open bin. Now that wasn't that hard was it?

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 25
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 22
  • Bonus Points Available: 26 (2 +3 Yellow Stars 2 +10 Red Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 426+

Level 14

Strategy: All you have to do in this one is balance the active Petpets on the beams. It will take some getting used to them pitching back and forth but it's not impossible. Also use the top wooden beam to hold the Petpets in case there aren't any open bins along the conveyor. You can go for the bonus points in the center but be careful of all three "jack in the box beams."

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 25
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: 22
  • Bonus Points Available: 26 (2 +3 Yellow Stars 2 +10 Red Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 426+

Level 15

Strategy: You're almost to the last level! Well in this one use the top wooden beam to lower the Petpet onto the lower wooden beam. Once you've done that just wait for an empty bin. Also you should be able to roll Petpets off the grey beams onto the lower beam that way also. So don't waste your time trying to balance them on those small beams! Those bonus points are tempting so be sure to try and get most if not all of them in one swift move.

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 30
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: ?
  • Bonus Points Available: 39 (3 +3 Yellow Stars 3 +10 Red Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 519+

Level 16

Strategy: Oops! I forgot to take a screenie... but you're in luck. In this last level there are "jack in the box" beams midway down the level you need to clear those. After that you can lower Petpets from the middle beam onto the lower wooden beams on the left or right side of the screen. The trick with these wooden beams is that the fulcrum is offset so it takes some time to get used to the proper placement so you can auto balance. If you can achieve that dropping the Petpets in will be easy!

  • Maximum Petpets in this level: 30
  • Minimum Petpets rescued to advance: ?
  • Bonus Points Available: ? (? +3 Yellow Stars ? +10 Red Stars)
  • Perfect Score: 480+

I'm still compiling a screenie and revising the strategy for the last level. I don't have time everyday unfortunately. If anyone else can get me a screenie of Level 16 before I have the chance neomail me first please.
