Welcome to the Piper Panic Guide! | Play Piper Panic Now!

I am currently really busy with other things, so I am not able to update this guide frequently. Thanks to everyone who has sent me info regarding the levels.

Many people have asked me how the high scorers can get scores such as 9000+. I am not certain of this, the highest score I've seen is around 6000. However, there are some tips to getting high points:

If you have any tips about getting a high score, feel free to contact me.

Piper Panic was a game officially released on February 15th. It's a very simple game, but, like any other game, I am not good at it. However, I have managed to complete all 10 levels of the game about 50 times in the making of this guide.

From Game Page: Piper Panic: Help the JubJub piper charm his Cobralls into clearing the carpet of baskets. Just make sure that the Cobralls don't hit the carpet's edge, or else they'll wriggle into the desert sands and be lost forever! If a Cobrall performs well, the appreciative crowd will throw the JubJub and his trusty Petpet jewels and gold coins. (Basically, you collect all the baskets that are on the board and make sure that you don't hit the edge. Once you finish a level, the crowd will throw jewels and coins at the Cobrall. I'm not sure if Neopets meant it to be a carpet, the game board itself doesn't look like a carpet.)

It's current NP Ratio is 0.51. You need at least 1961 points to get 1000 NP.

The Start Menu looks like this: There are some basic instructions shown. Click View Instructions to view detailed instructions; the Turn Sound Music Off and On buttons are for controlling the audio in the game, and Start Game starts the game (self explanatory).

Instructions and Basics

A basic game screen looks like this:

Basically, you have to collect all the baskets (yes, all the baskets and the ones with the stars on them) to complete the level. Shown here is Level 10, which is the last level. The other objects are bonuses, which will be explained later.

There are only 10 levels in the game. When you play the game several times, you can realize that the levels are almost the same; sometimes the levels are just rotated, with different bonuses.

Compare the above screen to the one below (same level):

As you can see, if you rotated the second screen to match the first screen, everything would be exactly the same! Almost all levels in the game are same, just rotated in different positions. The way to complete Level 10 in the first screen would be the same as the way to complete Level 10 in the second screen! Almost all of the levels are like this, but some levels may have different bonuses.

Bonuses

Multipliers - collecting these will multiply your score after you finish a level.
Extra Points - Collect for extra points. Number of points depends on level (Level 1 = 1 point, Level 5 = 5 points, etc.)
Extra Time - Collect for 5 extra seconds. The Extra Time bonus isn't really that important, usually there will be ample time to complete each level.
Extra Life - Collect for an extra life (Cobrall). Usually appears on Level 5 at times.
Star Baskets - Collect these special baskets last for extra points (the Star Bonus) when you complete the level.

The Levels

As I said, when you play the game, the levels may look different. However, it will most likely be just a different rotation as explained above. All the screenshots taken below shows the entire level in the beginning (before I made any moves to the Cobrall).

Level 1

Level 1 starts with 30 seconds.

Level 2

There's only one way to finish the level. Move to the first basket (regular) and then to the Star Basket. Level 2 starts with 30 seconds.

Level 3

Like the above levels, there's only one way. In the screen below, you would go right, down, left, and up to collect the multiplier bonus and end with the Star Basket. Extra Points are worth 3 points each, not much of a difference. Level 3 starts with 30 seconds.

Level 4

It's the basic spiral again (similar to Level 3, but a more defined spiral). Remember to do the inner spiral first. So that means (in this screen), don't go up to the outer basket. Level 4 starts with 30 seconds.

Level 5

There are several ways of completing this level, and this way shown picks up the extra life, as well as all the Star Baskets at the end, so this is the best way. Sometimes, the extra life bonus does not appear. The extra life bonus may appear on other levels, but it usually appears on this level, and sometimes doesn't appear at all in any of the levels. Time decreases to 20 seconds.

I have received a notice from kalamun stating that you could get the extra life, lose that life, get it again, (meaning that you could play this level infinite times), etc. This would result in infinite points, but the person stated that he got 16000 points but did not pass the review.

Level 6

Your time for this level is 20 seconds. Don't worry about the time. There are two basic ways to complete the level and get one Star Basket at the end. It is not possible to get all three (or even two) Star Baskets together at the end.

Second way of completing Level 6:

Level 7

There are several ways of completing Level 7, ending with 2 star baskets (Big thanks to thexc for pointing that out!) Follow the steps shown in the screen below to end with 2 Star Baskets. The time limit for this level is 20 seconds, but you can increase that to 25 by getting the Time Bonus.

Level 8

There are several ways to finish the level, but to get the most Star Baskets at the end, follow the steps shown below: 20 seconds.

I was in a bit of a rush to change this picture, so I'll give the steps as well: From the start in this screen, go Left, Down, Up, Right, Left, Down, Up, Left, Down, Right, Right, and Up. This will end with 3 star baskets.

I am currently unsure as to Level 8 about whether this is the best way to get the most amount of points. The way shown below MAY NOT be the best way to get the most points.

Level 9

In this level, it is similar to other levels, but your aim is to always get the Star Baskets at the end (Thanks to paroni_dante and mlkf2598 for showing the way to get all 4 star baskets at the end, it is a bit confusing). The time limit in this level is 15 seconds.

Level 10

There are several ways of finishing the level, but you always want to get 3 Star Baskets at the end. The steps shown below will give you the most points. Pick up the Extra Point bonuses, they are worth 10 points! Time limit is 15 seconds. You can not get the Extra Time in the middle.

Acknowledgements

Thanks to thexc for pointing out that on Level 7, there was a way to get 2 star baskets at the end.
Big thanks to paroni_dante and mlkf2598 for showing the way to get all 4 star baskets in Level 9.
Thanks to kalamun and gottalovebruce for their help in Level 5 and 8.
