Ah yes, the part of guides that we all skip--feel free. I would, however, suggest reading through the rest of the guide before trying out the game. I still feel obligated to include the little blurb:
Chia Bombers have invaded Geoffrey Chia's neighbourhood and are attacking him and his friends with their nasty mud-slinging bazookas! Geoffrey has set out with his homemade water-balloon gun in an effort to drive them out of town!
Game (I'd suggest opening in a new tab so you can use the guide as a reference)
Chia bomber 2 has controls common to many games. Arrow keys to navigate. Spacebar to shoot. M to mine.
Enemies and How to Kill Them
Mining and shooting are the only ways to take out an enemy. You start each round with five mines. A mine will take out any enemy regardless of his color. Shooting, however, merely downgrades the enemy chia until he disappears:
|Enemy||Shots to Kill|
Ways to DieJust like your balloons and mines hurt them, their balloons and mines will hurt you. In addition, they can run into you--a single brush with those filthy mud-slingers will make you lose your life. It is worthy to note that any damage will take you to the beginning of the level...you are as strong as their weakest member!
Notes and TipsYou can only have one water balloon on-screen at a time so you are relatively vulnerable while it is in the air. When you are shooting enemies or a wall that is near holding down the spacebar will shoot balloons quickly. However, take note of your surroundings when attempting a long shot to minimize chances of death while waiting for your balloon-launcher to cooldown.
While it may be difficult to observe when there are many chias wandering around, they do have a limitation in which columns they can go down. Look sometime when there is one or two enemies left: they will not go up or down certain columns. If a chia is in a column, he cannot go up or down the column on either side of him. They move in such a fashion that they can only travel in every other column, though it is up to you to track which chias go in which columns. It is easier to do this when there are only a handful of chias are left and you are hunting them down. You will sort of be able to guess if a chia will venture up/down the column and at the very least know if he cannot. If you are in the row above him between rocks in a column he cannot go up/down in he will pace back and forth but he cannot harm you. If another chia bomber touches him, sometimes he will glitch and be able to come towards you so be careful of this!
If you are in the middle of a level and need to do something quickly and do not want to die, open up or switch to another tab. It functions as an effective pause button. As soon as you switch back to the tab the game is in, all the chias will immediately begin running around again--but they will not do anything while you are in the other tab. This works for me in Google Chrome--if it does not work for you, please let me know!

A Level by Level Approach!NOTE TO AVATAR COLLECTORS: IF YOU HAVE TWO OR MORE LIVES LEFT ON LEVEL TWELVE YOU SHOULD QUIT. LIVES LEFT BONUS APPLIES TO QUITTERS ON LEVEL TWELVE.
This secret will not only speed up your time in the earlier levels, it will also help you a lot overall so they cannot swarm you! While holding the right arrow key and the spacebar down, click the 'Play Game' button with your mouse. Make sure you're 'locked' on to the game, otherwise you might scroll down the page instead.
Level One. There are eight green chias. With your start in the top left corner of the map, you will slice through the enemies like butter. Hold down the spacebar and rush rightward, stopping whenever you feel too close to an enemy. Try not to let them get on both sides of you, as it can be dangerous for you. When you are going to kill the last enemy, make sure you are in the top lane so that you can do the secret move again (you will end up in whatever lane you are in when the round ends if you do it correctly--top is just the most productive lane). To respawn in the top lane again, when the 'round is finished click any button to start' screen comes up, hold down the right arrow key, and while holding it, press spacebar. Ta-dah! You could enter the one-use 'geoffrey' extra life cheat code now if you wish, but I personally do not enter it until the last couple levels.
Level Two. There are seven green chias and one blue one. Strategy is the same.
Level Three. There are six green chias and two blue ones. Strategy is the same.
Level Four. There are five green chias, two blues, and one yellow. Strategy is the same.
Level Five. There are four green chias, two blues, and two yellow ones. Strategy is the same.
Level Six. There are three green chias, two blues, two yellows, and one red. Strategy is the same.
Level Seven. There are two green chias, two blue, two yellows, and two reds. Strategy is the same. If you feel uncomfortable, look to level eleven for a different strategy--you can apply it to earlier levels. Though it is unnecessary until the last levels, it may help you to do it sooner.
Level Eight. There is one green chia, two blues, two yellows, two reds, and one black. Strategy is the same.
Level Nine. There are two blue chias, two yellows, two reds, and two blacks. Strategy is the same.
Level Ten. There are two blue chias, two yellows, two reds, and two blacks. Strategy is the same, though level eleven strategy may be helpful if you are struggling.
Level Eleven. There are three yellow chias, three reds, and three blacks. I suggest you start normally in the bottom left corner and mine as shown above. Be careful as they may shoot at you. If you shoot their balloon they will cancel each other out. If you can, try not to let them take out your mines. Replace a taken out mine if it is safe and prioritize the inner ones so that enemies can not go around them to you. If you have not done the 'geoffrey' life cheat, I suggest doing it now!
Level Twelve, the final level.
NOTE TO AVATAR COLLECTORS: IF YOU HAVE TWO OR MORE LIVES LEFT YOU SHOULD END GAME. LIVES LEFT BONUS APPLIES TO QUITTERS ON LEVEL TWELVE.
There are five reds and five blacks. Good luck to trophy-hunters ;p.
Points BreakdownYou get ten points for each chia after -finishing- the level. (so 80 for levels 1-10, 90 for level 11, and 100 for level 12 for a total of 990 points after finishing level 12 from this alone). You get 3 points for killing an enemy by shooting. You get 2 points for killing an enemy by mining. You get 100 points for each life you have left after beating level 11.
If you are going for the avatar you can mine as much as you'd like (even if you use all 5 mines every level you still have enough for the avatar so long as you finish with a life: 990+2*60+3*39+100=1327) so do not worry about using too many. If you are going for the trophy (since this is a game with a max score, anyone tied for max and in the top 100 will get gold) then you will probably need the max score to get it, unless you are lucky on the first couple days after reset. You cannot kill any chia with a mine so you do not have to worry about those either :P. You cannot die at all and need to use geoffrey to get your fourth life. Max score is 990+99 chias*3 balloon points+400 for four lives: 1687. This is difficult and you will need to practice a good bit, but it can be done as attested by the high score board. I have done it before, and it helps to get lucky on the last level ;p.
Additional Notes and Tips
User suggestion. Similar to level eleven, you make a base of sorts except that you place two mines at each spot. Replace when both mines at an intersection are gone. This can be used as an effective alternative to level eleven and of course any level--it is safer than my rambo RUN AND GUN approach, especially for less-experienced players ;p
More tips will be added as I think of them or you send them in.
